  1. 1. THICKNESS PLANER SAFETY
  2. 2. SPECIFIC PURPOSE • To surface stock to desired thickness.
  3. 3. SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES 1. Stock must be at least at least 8” long to go through the DeWALT planer. 2. Never stand directly behind in case of kick back. 3. Let go of the stock the board after it starts through the planer.
  4. 4. USEFULL TIPS 1. Measure the thickness of your stock and adjust the planer to remove 1/16” of material thickness. 2. Rotate the hand wheel on the side of the planer by 1/2 of a turn to reduce stock thickness until proper thickness is achieved. 3. Plane all your stock at the same time to ensure equal thickness.
