Team Event Introducing and marketing key events with Casa de Campo, Madrid destinations around the world and an annual Date. 11st – 13rd of May, 2012 final show down in the last Quarter of the year. World class Athletes and Age Group Event Schedule. Athletes participating in a TEAM in this events 11 MAY: Official Team Presentation & Energy Party together and creating a new image and12 MAY: Team coaching and Raceday for 1st T5 TriStar T111 Madrid philosophy for this sport. 13 MAY: Awards Ceremony and Star Night Key points: > 5 Athletes form one Team (Professionals and Amateurs) > 30 Teams limited to take part in the event > TV coverage of each race on a Pan European and US broadcaster > New distance (111) - Drafting allowed ( but in coordination with the ITU) > A new worldwide ranking systemMontag, 29. Take it from „Good“ to „ Great“ TriStar T5 short form T5 5 Athletes Team composed by 5 athletes Mass start & Team Drafting The Event One Team - one uniform Team support cars Facts Professionals & Amateurs > Making an individual Sport to a TEAM sport Limitation of Teams (60 Teams) > > Distances: 1000m Swim - 100km Bike - 10km Run First Triathlon event featuring Teams to compete Male & Female Teams > Professionals and Amateurs (open to anyone, no classification); it also can be a mixed Team out of Professionals and Amateurs > Infrastructure provided, which we know from the ProCycling Tour (TEAM support cars, Mechanics, Directors etc) > Race will take part on complete closed roads > Drafting allowed BUT only among it´s own TEAM (no drafting off other TEAMS) > 4 Athletes of a TEAM need to finish to be ranked > The Time of the 3rd Athlete of each TEAM will be the official Final Time for each TEAMMontag, 29.   6. 6. The Team Package. 5 times the fun You enter the race with a team of 5 athletes. Team uniforms Each member of the team receives a cycling kit and running shirt, branded with your team name and logos Assistance cars will support the teams during the race. 1 car for 5 teams. Team support cars Mechanics will check your bikes the day before the race and will offer you bike service throughout the Team mechanics race. 1 mechanic for 5 teams. Through radio communication you will be able to communicate during the race- with your teammates Team radio and your support car. Team coaching and You will get your pre- race coaching and advise from experienced experts from triathlon and cycling- upfront and during the event Team directors Team presentation Your team and all members are presented on the TriStar T5 Madrid website and at the official team presentation event the day before the race TriStar presents Moreover each member of the team receives the extras you already know from other TriStar races (athlete‘s present, swim caps etc.) More...
