My Interesting Person

 1. 1. My Interesting Person Description of the Activity
 2. 2. How You Do It

Choose an ‘Interesting Person’ to research. If you can’t think of anyone, have a look at the 100 Most Influential People of the Century . It might help you.

Find at least 3 different sites that have good information about your person. You should do your best to ensure they are sites that you are able to read and understand. Please don’t use Wikipedia as one of your sites.

Take notes (in your own words) from the 3 different sites. Make sure your notes are organised appropriately (as we’ve discussed). You should use your book or Google Docs for this.

Find 2-3 good pictures about your interesting picture. Make sure you note where you got them from.

Create your informative article about your interesting person and use the pictures to make it look good. You should also include a border. Ask Mr Stanhope if you are unsure how to insert pictures and create a border.

 3. 3. The Activity

Your article should be organised into 3-4 subheadings. Make sure you include information on:

-his/her life

-what makes him/her so interesting

-the most important events in his/her life

-why you choose this person for the activity.

You can download your article as a Word file and then insert your pictures and a border. Your finished product should LOOK GOOD!

 4. 4. You Must Also…

The last thing you have to do is share your great sites with me. Then I can add them to our ‘Interesting People’ page of our Reading Wiki.
