  3. 3. Overview  Dublin Websummit 2015 was held November 3rd to Nov 5th  Websummit is one of the largest Tech-Conferences in Europe and also worldwide  In 2015, around 42,000 people from more than 140 countries participated  The event was divided into 21 sub-topics  Over 400 talks and discussions were held  On each of the three days, an estimated 200-300 Start-ups were exhibiting in small booths across the Websummit  Throughout the Summit, there was a constant flow of Start-ups pitching on 2 stages sponsored by Audi more information at https://websummit.net 3

  5. 5. DSP‘s subjective Websummit-Observations  The sheer number of talks, Start-ups and topics was great and overwhelming  The audience was very international, subjectively it felt as if Germany was under- represented, in terms of attendees, speakers, start-ups and in Corporarte Partners  out of 20 Corporate Partners, from Germany only Audi and SAP were present; the majority of sponsors (16) came from the US with companies like Coca Cola, Ford, Microsoft, amazon etc.  from German listed companies, Audi, SAP and Zalando were present with a large booth at the exhibition  a Director of Bosch Software Innovation participated in a panel  quite a numer of German start-ups were present with their booths (see Start-up section)  As in previous years, the breadth of products and applications was very wide - ranging from Medical Devices to eCommerce, from Drones to Job-Listings etc.  In talks and discussions, there was some more focus on the On-Demand-Economy („Uber of xxx“), the Internet of Things (incl. Drones), Devices, Mobile and Artificial Intelligence, less focus on things like eCommerce, Advertising and Social  DSP-Partners focused on scanning and discussing with Start-ups at Websummit 5
