DMPTool 2 - What Administrators Need to Know

  2. 2. Goal: For administrators to be able to become familiar with new functionality in the DMPTool For administrators to be able to set up the new DMPTool, assign roles, and be ready for plan creators on May 29th! Will *not* cover all functionality

  4. 4. DMPTool Project • Partners started working in January 2011 • Released in October 2011 • Developed requirements, divided work • Self-funded / In-kind

  6. 6. Release Schedule • May 16th: Administrator wiki published. • May 19th: Administrator only soft release. • May 21st: Second administrator webinar. • May 29th: User and administrator wide release.

  8. 8. (New) Concepts in the DMPTool
  9. 9. Template A "template" is a set of questions (i.e., requirements) that form the basis of a data management plan. Templates can also be created for institutions by institutional administrators.
  10. 10. Resource Help for answering a question (requirement) from a funder. This can be added by the institutional administrator or resource editor to provide local information for researchers filling out a DMP. There are four resource types: - Guidance - Actionable link - Suggested response - Example response.
