Paragraph 1 – Family based information
Different day.Different beginnings. You have a story I have mine. My story begins on
July 5 in the year of 1998. At around 2:00 a.m. at the Woman‟s Hospital close to Kentucky
Fried Chicken (KFC) located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a child was born given the name
of Abigail Abie U. Ramos from my two lovable, caring, hardworking parents Yolanda Ramos my
mother and Librado Ramos my father. My hardworking mother works at the Winnipeg Airport as
a plane groomer at the age of 48 and my protective father works at Progressive Machines as a
machinist at the age of 49. I have one younger annoying little brat but loving sister named
Angeline Ramos. She is 2 years younger than me and goes to school at Principal Sparling
School in grade 6. We went through many, arguments, fights, and misunderstandings but after
those we become stronger siblings. With those mistakes I myself can get to learn from and for
Angel my sister too. From taking her Barbie dolls to cutting her hair when she was younger from
pushing her and giving her words that shouldn‟t be said. I myself grew up as a bad role model
for my sister but now we‟re getting to maturity I‟m still happy to have a loving, caring sister like
her. I have one amazing loving grandmother that lives with me and my family and her name is
Virginia Umipig. She‟s at the age of 78 and I‟m really thankful to still have her. She was like my
second mother when I was younger. Whenever my mom was at work, she would always be the
one taking care of me. Through the good and the bad my „Lola‟ was always there. I would
remember her feeding me, taking me to sleep, singing me lullabies and having her play with me
whenever I‟m not in the mood to play with my sister. I grew up at the West End for my whole life
and I hope I still do. Isn‟t that a lot of stories for chapter 1? Well it still hasn‟t ended. What about
the important events in my story that had a meaningful impact to me!
Paragraph 2 –Memory or event with a meaningful impact
Chapter 2 in my story had many stories that impacted my life. It begins in getting chosen
to be a part of Career Trek. Career Trek is a weekend activity that you get to experience careers
to get ready for my future and other students future. Its one of those programs that only
Manitoba has from out of ten countries in Canada. With those eighty careers that I got to
experience like teaching, agriculture, machinist, drama, etc. I am really happy thankful to learn
all about those careers. By doing all those careers and experiencing how our parents work
during the day has been really exciting for me to learn. Isn‟t it fun?! Well there‟s more! Every last
term out of four terms we have „family day‟. When I heard that we would be having family day I
was really excited to bring my mom and my sister! Why, I was excited to bring my mom is
because she couldn‟t experience this when she was younger. So now that I could experience
this for my own I want my mom to experience it too! Now that my sister gets to experience this
adventure I wanted to make my mom become proud of us both for what we have experienced in
this kind of age and have a brighter future ahead of us just to get an idea what we want to be
when we grow up from learning about so many careers. One sad event that I have experienced
was my dad having an operation. When I see my take vitamins to make his illness feel better it
makes me upset to see him take those pills because he‟s diabetic. When he got his operation

on April 2010 I really wanted to be by my mom‟s side twenty four seven but I couldn‟t because I
had school and other reasons. While my father was inside the operating room I was scared that
night because it was a fifty/fifty percent chance, so I would always have to be there for my mom
and my sister and be strong for them. After that night, I couldn‟t go sleep; I was crying quietly in
my bed and just praying to God for having my dad‟s operation to go well. Then waiting with my
mom at St. Boniface Hospital after my dad‟s operation went well, I entered the room after and
seeing all those sick men laying down in the beds having a hard time with those machines
connected to their bodies. Seeing my dad going through that too and seeing my mom cry and
holding his hand teared me up a lot in the inside. I didn‟t want my mom to see me cry because I
know that she would have cried even harder and would probably hug me really tight. But now
that he‟s okay I know that I would always have to be strong for my mom and my sister and my
family, whatever happens next to my story. How these two stories impacted me strongly is that it
made me a stronger person, having to go through all these adventures that made me a person
who I am today, and it will make me ready for what will happen next. Well, that‟s just some of
the important events that happened to chapter two, if only I could tell you all of them I would! My
story wouldn‟t be completed if there isn‟t chapter three, right? Well, chapter three would have to
have a story about goals right, so what about telling you a chapter about my goals and I want to
accomplish in my future.
Paragraph 3 – Goals to set order to achieve the “future me”
Finally chapter three. Wouldn‟t a story be incomplete if there isn‟t any goalsfor myself to
achieve in my future. Being a lovable, caring daughter to my two parents I would have to set
goals for myself for them to become proud of me. The quote that my mom told me that I would
never forget was, „Education is the lifetime present that your father and I will give you and no
other person will‟. Having that quote always in my mind I have many goals that will fullfill my
future. One goal I would like to work on more is to help out more people in need. Whenever I
see someone or anyone needing help I really am willing to help them and volunteer to give them
any food or other goods they might need. That‟s why the biggest goal I would like to achieve in
my future is too be a teacher. I really love helping children in there with their learning because
learning with them would make me learn new things from them as well. Especially for children
who can‟t go to school. I really get upset having to read articles and see children do work and
not go to school, I just wish that child labour would end. Why I chose to be a teacher is because
whenever I need help with my homework my parents would be my teachers at home, and also
having kids ask me for help gives me a smile on my face because I get a chance to help them
and make them become better learners! Also the other reason I want to be a teacher is because
I want to challenge other kids in their learning, like my teachers having to challenge me too. I
would remember that last year when we had no school, I would visit my old school and
volunteer down to the nursery/kindergarten room to help out with the little children. I was really
happy seeing them learn there ABC‟s, having to count 1,2,3 and saying the colors of the
rainbow, I really miss that and seeing them do it reminds me of myself doing it too. So now that
I‟m all grown up and have a bright future ahead of me I want to make more children become

helpful, caring, and loving to their parents, teachers and other people they care about. So now
that chapter three is over, do you want to read more about chapter four, five, and six? Well, they
haven‟t been written yet because my future is still yet to unfold and more amazing adventures
are still yet to come.
