2007 to 2008 saw many large companies try to make a Second Life® presence. By the end of 2009, only a few remained. What lessons can be learned, from the things that did not work, to the things that did. Large companies that did succeed will be examined, and unique Second Life selling points compared. As well there will be a look at Second LIfe only brands, and how they have succeeded.
