  5. 5. Barriers of Purpose Heb 10:24-25 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works; not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
  6. 6. Barriers of PurposeRomans 12:6-8• We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
  7. 7. Barriers of PrioritiesMathew 6:33But seek first the kingdom of God and hisrighteousness, and all these things will be addedto you.1 Timothy 2:1-2First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for allpeople, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godlyand dignified in every way.
  8. 8. Barriers of Perspective Resentment and bitterness can become the greatest barrier to involvement and it’s just at a physical level, but at an emotional level. You may be here physically, but emotionally you checked out. It didn’t just hurt the person your angry at. It hurts yourself and the rest of the congregation.
