Benefits of using visual aids.They help in illustrating andreinforcing the spoken message sothat the audience can imbibe it.They provide a change of pace andthus break the monotony of speech.Charts, figures and models cut downexplanation time considerably. Theyalso help understanding how situationshave changed over time.A photograph or a cine-film shot addsa sense of realism to the presentation,thus making it much more interesting.

A participantunderstands what a furnace looks like inreal life when shown a clipping.Remember visual aids are not areplacement of training but assistance tothe trainer to communicate his/hermessage to the audience such thatretention is facilitated.
