1. 1. Cloning of Endangered Species.
By Nick Del Campo Period 8
2. 2. Basics of genetics
-Recessive allele-allele that usually doesn't show
-Dominate allele-allele that is shown the most, when present it covers the recessive allele
- Parents pass traits to their offspring through gene transmission
-Genetics-Study of heredity and inheritance
3. 3. Human Genome Project
The Human Genome Project Began in 1990 and continued for 13 years. Goals for the Human Genome Project included…
identify all the approximately 20,000-25,000 genes in human DNA,
determine the sequences of the 3 billion chemical base pairs that make up human DNA,
store this information in databases,
improve tools for data analysis,
transfer related technologies to the private sector, and
address the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) that may arise from the project.
4. 4. Cloning of Endangered Species.
5. 5. Argument 1Pros.Endangered species will come back and more of them will be around.
6. 6. Argument 2ConsOne con would be if you multiply to much there will be to much of one particular animal or species.
7. 7. Argument 3ProCloning animals becomes useful when scientists modify animals to produce essentials for human health.
8. 8. Argument 4
Con
The last con and most important con is that there is not enough research to clone successfully yet. Dolly was cloned but she had disorders that came with it.
9. 9. Conclusion I am against cloning because I feel that this is something new and there isn't enough research to do it successfully
