Sandra O. Floyd Joins CalChamber Board of Directors
SACRAMENTO, CA — Sandra O. Floyd of Oakland has been appointed to the California Chamber of
Commerce Board of Directors.
Floyd is the president and CEO of OUTSOURCE Consulting Services, Inc, a 16-year-old human capital
management firm located in the inner city of Oakland, California. OUTSOURCE provides staff
augmentation, information technology consulting, comprehensive payroll services and specialized training
services to the private and public sectors.
Floyd has received numerous awards over the last decade. Most recently, she was named the Small
Business Administration’s Minority Person of the Year for the San Francisco District. In November 2006,
the Oakland Inner City Advisors honored Floyd in recognition of personal and company contributions to
improve inner city communities and the national Coalition of 100 Bay Area Black Women presented her
the Women Leading Change Award. She also received the Woman of the Year Award from the California
Black American Political Association of California (BAPAC) in 2002.
Locally, Floyd serves on the Dean’s College of Business and Economics Advisory Board at California
State University, Hayward and Peralta Community College of Alameda. Since 2007 Floyd has served on
the Wells Fargo Business Advisory Board in the East Bay. She is a past council member for the federal
government’s General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Industry Government
Council (ITIGC). She also served as past co-chair in Northern California for ASTRA Women’s Business
Alliance, an affiliate of the Women’s’ Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Floyd graduated from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor's degree in organization behavior.
She is a graduate of both the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and Kellogg School of
management at Northwestern University, where she completed programs in entrepreneurial studies and
advanced management.
The members of the CalChamber Board of Directors are ranking executives in their organizations,
