Download Images from deviantART, 4Chan, Picasa using Image Collector

 1. 1. The Image Collector: Download Images from deviantART, 4Chan, Picasa, Imgur and PhotoBucket
2. 2. Credit: http://withwindows.com
Introduction:
The Image Collector or known as TIC, is an application designed for those who love to collect new and interesting images from various image sharing websites. Image collector can grab and download images from websites like deviantART, 4Chan, Picasa, PhotoBucket and imgur.
3. 3. It lets you view and categorize images from different web services. You can categorize all the images and save them for later use or set them as a background image for your viewing purpose. Although, there are plethora of applications around that let you fetch and download images from different web service, the image collector beats them all by giving you more control over it.
4. 4. As you would expect, it has a built in image viewer to provide three different viewing modes like normal, stretched and centered. Images can be downloaded based on category which ultimately saves the images on your local drive. You can queue all the images for uninterrupted downloading and waiting.
5. 5. How to Download Images from deviantART/4Chan/Picasa
1. Download ‘The Image Collector’ from here
2. Install and run the program.
6. 6. On the left hand panel you will see web services list which is supported by TIC. Just double click on any service to get all the latest images stored on the web site. Here the supported websites are deviantART, Picasa, Imgur, 4Chan and PhotoBucket.
7. 7. Alternatively, you can fetch the latest available images based on genre, which can be found on top of the supported web services (see the screenshot below). All the images are presented in thumbnail format, which can be viewed in in default image viewer by double clicking on it.
8. 8.
 9. 9.
 10. 10. You should set the category from Tools->Categories option. The only downside about this tool is that there is no option available to download the individual image. You can right click on the image and select ‘Download All ’ option to download all the images from the selected service.
11. 11.
 12. 12. Developer has provided a plugin option Tools->Plugin Manager to add more services to the tool, but it seems that there is no plugin available to add more service. You may have to purchase the full version in order to download and enable more web service to install the plugin.
13. 13. To be frank this utility is decent enough to check out all the images from the different web service. However, the option like downloading individual service would have made it much more useful. We will let you know if developer integrates any new feature into the tool.
Have you downloaded any images from deviantART,4Chan or Picasa using TIC? Let us know how it goes.
