  1. 1. Get started with Skype <ul><li>What Is Skype? </li></ul><ul><li>Skype is a convenient and inexpensive way to communicate. The service uses your internet connection to help you chat with your friends online. The application is free from the official Skype website. </li></ul><ul><li>What is needed to use Skype? </li></ul><ul><li>A computer, internet access, webcam and Skype software are all you need. A microphone, speakers or headset can be used as well. </li></ul><ul><li>How do I get started? </li></ul><ul><li>Installing Skype and opening a new account only takes a few minutes. </li></ul><ul><li>Skyping for the first time! </li></ul><ul><li>Making the call. </li></ul>

How do I get Started? <ul><li>Type </li></ul><ul><li>Click the “Download” tab </li></ul><ul><li>Choose your Operating System (Windows, Mac etc.). </li></ul><ul><li>Click “Download now” </li></ul><ul><li>Click “Save file” from the pop-up window </li></ul><ul><li>Click on Skypesetup.exe when it is done downloading </li></ul><ul><li>Click “Run” </li></ul><ul><li>Click drop down menu and choose language </li></ul><ul><li>Read and accept user license agreement </li></ul><ul><li>Click install. Skype will start the installation process </li></ul><ul><li>Fill out all the required information </li></ul><ul><li>Make sure to check the license agreement box </li></ul><ul><li>Click next </li></ul><ul><li>Enter a valid e-mail address </li></ul><ul><li>Select a country </li></ul><ul><li>Click “Sign in” </li></ul><ul><li>Click arrow to start Skype </li></ul><ul><li>Start –up page will appear </li></ul>
