  1. 1. UNCLASSIFIED 30 Sep 10, N912, (202) 433-0519 Mr. Chuck Clymer Subject: NAVY EXCEPTIONAL FAMILY MEMBER PROGRAM (EFMP) RESPITE CARE PROGRAM 1. Executive Issues:  Navy CYP contracts with the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) to provide 40 hours of free respite care to EFMP families with category IV or V Exceptional Family Member (EFM) children and their non-EFM siblings living in 5 homestead locations and 50 independent locations: o Jacksonville, FL o Bremerton, WA o San Diego, CA o Norfolk, VA o Naval District Washington (NDW), DC 2. Background:  EFMs have complex needs that cannot be met utilizing typical in-home care. There are three ways:  Contact MiliaryOneSource,  Complete application at http://www.naccrra.org/MilitaryPrograms/NavyEFMP/ or,  Call Child Care Aware at 800-424-2246 4. Recommendation:  None.
