  3. 3. Usability Testing Plan & Result  Two techniques used:-  Interviews  Scenario based observations  Both having questions categorised by rating scale.  12 participants used for the usability testing
  4. 4. Interview usability testing  Questions focused on:-  What would the user want the system to do?  How would the system fit in with the user's normal workflow or daily activities?  How satisfied is the user technically?  How the interface looks and feels and does it appeal to the user?
  5. 5. Interview usability testing result Number of participants: 12 Interview Questions Percentage Question Number Rating Scale Total Total(%) 1 2 3 4 5 Question 1 0 0 5 5 2 45 75 Question 2 0 0 3 9 0 45 75 Question 3 0 2 4 4 2 42 70 Question 4 0 2 3 5 2 43 71.66666667 Tot = 175/240 72.91666667
  6. 6. Scenario based observation usability testing  Questions focused on:-  Ensure that participants can find and use the various functions in the interface  Determine whether the functionality provided is valuable to the participants  Determine whether the interaction flow is natural and intuitive and matches current user workflow  Determine whether the application will meet the needs of a basic calendar planner tool.
  7. 7. Scenario based observation result Number of participants: 12 Observation scenarios Question Number Rating Scale Total Percentage Total(%) 1 2 3 4 5 Question 1 0 0 0 3 9 57 95 Question 2 0 0 3 5 4 49 81.66666667 Question 3 0 6 3 2 1 34 56.66666667 Question 4 0 4 3 4 2 43 71.66666667 Tot = 183/240 76.25
