of days. Once engorged, they lay their eggs then die. Hungr y ticks can
live for up to two year s, in some cases, without eating.
 Habitats: Most types of ticks hide in grassy or wooded areas. Brown
dog ticks, however, are indoor creatures, hiding in furniture, behind
