How do you understand it?
INTERACTION
Segregated, Exclusive, Independent, Opposites
A B
What is the object made from? Molecules, atoms, a form of energy.
Who created it? Intelligent human being.
Who participates in these interactions?
Humans are intelligent, sensual instinctive and emotional intuitive beings.
We always and only experience interaction with human intelligence.
Occurs as two or more objects have an effect upon one another.
Dr. Masaru Emoto
Yokohama Municipal University
Sound, thought = Energy
Crystal = Molecules, Atoms
High energy density = Matter
“The average human body is
60% water”
Every action has a reaction
Frozen Water Crystals Experiment
Dr. Nicolas Gisin
University of Geneva
Two particles can be intimately linked to each
other even if separated by billions of light-years of
space; a change induced in one will affect the
other.
Photon = Virtual particle = a packet of light
Everything is connected
Twin-Photon Experiment
The smallest particle of an element.
There are 2000 Billion atoms of oxygen
in one drop of water.

Particles we’re made of
Particle physics
Electrons jumping from orbits = releasing light = Virtual particles = Photons
“Not only are we made of
fundamental particles, we also
produce them and are constantly
bombarded by them throughout
the day.”
''About 99 percent of
your body is made up
of atoms''
Source: Symmetry Magazine, A joint Fermilab/SLAC publication
INTERACTION = RELATION
A kind of action that occur as two or more objects have an effect upon one another.
A fundamental force by which elementary particles interact with each other.
● Everything is interconnected
● Every action has a reaction (3rd Newton's law of motion of classical mechanics)
● Human-to-Human Intelligence Interaction

BBC - Before Blockchain
ABC - After Blockchain
“Blockchain technology
provides an opportunity to
an interconnected world to
truly incite systemic
change”
“We see blockchain as
being as fundamental a
shift as mobile was a
decade ago”
Data systems are becoming increasingly fragmented and
this is what has led to the definitive need for one singular
platform.
What is Blockchain?
A blockchain is a peer-to-peer distributed ledger, forged by consensus,
combined with a system for smart contracts and other assistive
technologies.
Together, these can be used to build a new generation of transactional
applications that establish trust, accountability, and transparency at their
core, while streamlining business processes and legal constraints.
Consensus
Agreement among the
network peers.
Defined by its creators.
No good or bad algorithm.
Distributed ledger
A database that is spread
across several nodes or
computing devices, not
maintained by any central
authority.
Smart Contracts
Defining the conditions,
rights and obligations of
parties involved.
A set of rules under which
the parties agree to
interact with each other.
BLOCKCHAIN ≠ CRYPTOCURRENCY

In the global supply chain,
banks, farms, and
consumers are all
interconnected using
blockchain to integrate
information between all of
the stakeholders.
WHY
is this better than traditional approach?
WHAT
● Traceability
● Transparency
● Greater Security
● Efficiency and Speed
● Reduced costs
● User-controlled
● Decentralized
does it mean for us designers?
● Become Empathic, Inclusive,
Diverse, Ethical …
● Use existing methods and
patterns
● Understand complex
cryptographic algorithms, data
structure, and flow
● Become a systems thinker
● Work close with the developers
CH

EN
GES
● UX for Developers
● User onboarding
● Overcoming technical constraints (security issues,
verification processes, strictly defined information flow,
irreversible actions, Identity and Key management)
● Establishing a common UI language
● Communicate value proposition (increasing adoption
rate)
● Unifying protocolos to work
● No mental models yet
● Onboarding new designers
The next generation of the internet is upon us and a wave of innovations where technology
becomes invisible and human values become prominent.
You are right on time
