• All connections new and old, your network should represent your real life to be
the most useful
• For work, use the job search and job pages within individual groups
• For research, what companies hire people like you in your area?
• For research, companies- you can follow them, see if they have been hiring
recently, how many people have been leaving. Great snapshop
• For research, contacts within target comapnies in HR, Recruiting, Head of
departments in your field
• For research, inside info, who do you know who could introduce you, tell you
more?
• For research, who will be interviewing you, what is their background, are they
connected to you in any way?

• Use google to search Linkedin
• Use the following in the google search box :
• site:uk.linkedin.com
• Then add criteria
• ("SAP") AND (finance| accountancy | accountant)
AND -jobs
• Use Groups, when you belong to the same group
as another person you can sometimes email
them
