crosses	a	‘geo-fence’.

the	geo-fence	can	also	be	recorded.

Case	Study	-	Geoloca7on	Study	
•  NORC	&	AP	did	an	experimental	study	on	the	use	of	geoloca7on	exit	polling	
surveys	during	the	2016	Presiden7al	Elec7ons.		
•  This	groundbreaking	study	was	used	to	test	the	feasibility	and	the	new	
alterna7ve	of	using	geoloca7on	exit	polling	for	elec7ons.		
•  Community	of	1000	voters	in	Florida	agreed	to	par7cipate	and	download	the	
Communi7es	app.		
•  All	1000+	polling	loca7ons	in	Florida	were	imported	into	our	plaeorm.	Then	aGer	
the	par7cipants	voted,	the	exit	poll	survey	was	automa7cally	pushed.		
•  This	proof	of	concept	study	found	that	using	geo-loca7on	based	exit	polling	is	a	
successful	method	to	collect	real-7me	exit	poll	results.	It’s	a	viable	op7on	and	will	
con7nue	to	be	explored	in	future	elec7ons.
