This document discusses an eco-friendly and energy efficient biological nitrogen removal process that produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions. It outlines the importance of nitrogen removal from wastewater. It then describes the nitrification process carried out by ammonia oxidizing bacteria through multiple pathways that can produce nitrous oxide. The document also presents a model for the bacteria's behavior in oxic and anoxic conditions and simulations of the model in a continuous bioreactor. It discusses observability testing and state estimation using an extended Kalman filter to estimate unobserved states. Finally, it proposes using a model predictive controller to control the aeration rate based on optimization to meet nitrogen removal goals while minimizing energy use and nitrous oxide emissions.

This document summarizes the country's performance in Q3 and sets goals for Q4. Key points:
- Q3 revenue was 26% higher than the same period last year but plan fulfillment was lower.
- GCDPi and GIPo programs saw the most growth compared to last year while GIPi declined.
- The pipeline and matching rates need to increase to reach yearly targets.
- Focuses for Q4 include raising more opportunities, improving the matching rate, and finalizing the winter peak.
- While Q3 results were an improvement, growth rates still need to increase to meet overall plans and targets.
How To Have Prospective Students Fall in Love With Your RTOCirculus Education
A keynote speech at the VET Industry Drinks event "A Compliance Guide to Marketing" on 25th of May 2015. This event was hosted by Circulus Education and Fairfax Media, with the purpose of helping RTOs gain a better understanding of ASQA Standard 4 on marketing & advertising. It is imperative that RTOs learn of the best practice and most effective way to attract the right students.
This keynote was delivered by Travis May, Digital Marketing Specialist from Fairfax Media.

L2 learners can use linguistic forms systematically depending on the communicative context. The three main contextual dimensions that influence language use are the linguistic context, psychological context, and microsocial context. Language input is essential for learning, and native speakers will modify their language through techniques like foreigner talk and interactional modifications to help nonnative speakers understand. Feedback through direct or indirect correction also aids learning. Learning occurs through interpersonal interaction with experts in the zone of proximal development, as well as intrapersonal interaction such as private speech.
This paper discusses producing biodiesel from used vegetable oil collected from shops selling fritters in Kolkata, India. The objectives were to produce biodiesel through a transesterification process and optimize parameters like temperature, oil to alcohol ratio, catalyst concentration and reaction time to obtain the maximum biodiesel yield. Used vegetable oil was collected from fritter shops and characterized. Experiments were conducted to transesterify the used oil with methanol using a base catalyst. The properties of the resulting biodiesel were analyzed and found to be comparable to diesel fuel properties. The maximum biodiesel yield obtained was 94%. The results show that used vegetable oil is a viable feedstock for biodiesel production.
1. The document provides instructions for a quiz asking students to make shopping lists based on three situations. For the third situation, students must include quantities of items.
2. Students are instructed to download the quiz in a Microsoft Word file, complete the exercise, and upload their response to Edmodo before the due date.
3. A scoring rubric is provided, with points awarded based on correctly including 10 items per situation and spelling. Partial credit is given for minor spelling errors or listing fewer than 10 items.
The document summarizes an experimental investigation of operating a diesel engine in dual fuel mode using LPG and processed waste engine oil. Key findings from the study include:
- Performance characteristics of the engine using processed waste engine oil were comparable to diesel, while NO emissions decreased and CO/UHC increased.
- In dual fuel mode, efficiency slightly decreased while CO/UHC increased and NO/smoke decreased compared to single fuel diesel mode.
- Further work is needed to develop better waste oil processing methods and evaluate dual fuel operation with other gases like natural gas.
