This document discusses the state of IPv6 adoption two years after its global launch. While some regions and economies have been more active in deploying IPv6, global adoption is uneven. Measurement data shows adoption is highest in Asia and parts of Europe, while the UK ranks 40th globally in IPv6 preference. The document examines IPv6 deployment by autonomous system numbers and RIPEness in various countries and regions, finding many internet service providers have implemented it but end-user adoption still lags in some places due to lack of business drivers and need for further training.
