The Power of Sight-
Saving Supplements
Supplements are a fantastic form of protection for the body.
Nutrients provide energy, and help to regulate the constant
chemical processes throughout the body.

Necessary nutrients - required in large
amounts - are called macronutrients.
These provide cellular energy, and
come in three forms: carbohydrates,
lipids, and proteins. All three should
arrive directly from the diet.
With a healthy diet covering the
macronutrient basics, supplements
can provide the micronutrients that -
whilst consumed in lower quantities -
still pack a powerful punch.
AREDS
The Age-Related Eye Disease Study
(AREDS), led by industry leaders the
National Eye Institute, studied a special
combination of vitamins C and E; beta-
carotene; zinc and copper. This mix
was called the AREDS formulation:
daily consumption of which, in high
amounts, was found to slow age-
related sight loss.
Mighty Magnesium
The impact of minerals like Magnesium
has also been underestimated in terms
of their role in regulating the body and
its hormones. Magnesium plays an
important part in the conversion of
macronutrients into usable forms of
cellular energy. It also decreases rates
of insomnia; meaning that Magnesium
is fantastic at battling fatigue.
