Combat flight games are video games that can be used to simulate all different types of military aircraft and their various operations. These are also called flight simulators but are incomparable to actual simulators that the military uses to train their pilots, since these are realistic recreations of physical stimuli in a cockpit. Flight games began their journey rather humbly when the first arcade games used moving animations on the screen to represent aircraft that would shoot missiles at enemy targets to destroy them. It wasn't until 1975 that the first jet fighter made its appearance in a game that included the use of a joystick and cross hairs to mimic piloting a real fighter.
