Brainstorming
Brainstorming and
Six Thinking Hats
Scenario
You are a marketing team leader for a mobile phone
app. After the promotion, you have got 1000
customers who use the free version of your mobile
app. However, many of your existing customers are
unwilling to pay for the paid version, while your
company wants to increase the customers to 10,000
in five-year to GENERATE INCOME via your mobile
app.
Question: What marketing strategies can you use to
get people to sign up for the paid version of your
mobile app, and achieve the target of 10,000
customers in five-year time.
Brainstorming
It is used to generate ideas. It is best undertaken with
a group of people asked to provide input.

Brainstorming
There are a number of stages involved in
brainstorming
i. Define the idea in which one is interested as
precisely as possible.
ii. Ask for suggestions that relate to the idea.
iii. Recording suggestions. As one records these, he
will need to follow these rules:
(a)No suggestion should be criticised or evaluated
before all suggestions have been considered.
(b)All suggestions (as many as possible) must be
recorded and considered in the next stage.
iv. Review all suggestions by working through the list.
v. Analyse suggestions and decide which are most
appealing as ideas

The six hats are…?
-Six colors of hats for six types of thinking

-Hats help to use parallel thinking
