The country has a diverse economy focused on mining minerals like gold and diamonds which make up over half of Africa's mineral production, as well as manufacturing industries. South Africa also has a predominantly agricultural economy growing crops like corn, fruits, potatoes, and wheat across lands that are suitable for farming.
