Their cameras provide real-time alerts and actionable data, such as vehicle license plates, which are used to identify suspects, find stolen cars, and track vehicles involved in crimes. The system serves neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and cities to improve public safety and deter criminal activity. The platform uses machine learning to process the captured data, detecting vehicles of interest for law enforcement. Law enforcement receives immediate alerts when vehicles associated with crimes, like stolen cars or AMBER/Silver Alerts, are detected in an area. Flock safety has significant contracts with municipalities all over the country, in 49 states and 5,000 communities. Check if your community has a contract with Flock safety. Imperfect algorithms in LPR systems can make errors when reading license plates, potentially leading to innocent individuals' vehicles being incorrectly flagged as associated with criminal activity.
