BBC Radio 1 broadcasts popular music and targets listeners aged 15-29 in the UK and internationally. It has historically had large audiences but numbers have declined in the 2000s. However, the station has succeeded in targeting younger audiences by developing its online presence and changing its content to be more cross-gender. The Chris Moyles Breakfast Show was very popular.
