>Mike Leigh's directing style, as he uses some of
the script and keeps the actors in character all day
to improvise; what could happen next, and what
might have led the character to this?
>Understand and know the terms as we want to tell
all stories.
>Gecko shows themes that are relevant to today's
society to provoke or inspire.
>Pussy riot fights for women's rights and LGBTQ+
>Raye, singing Ice Cream Man in her underwear to
show how naked it makes her feel to speak/ sing
about her assault.
>Many trans and queer people feel very much
alone when it comes to understanding/ knowing
what resources are available to them.
>Women are seen as sexual objects for the
pleasure of the heterosexual male point of view.

THEATRE COMPANIES
Frantic Assembly, Things I Know To Be True Mia (previously
referred to as Mark,) comes out as transgender and
announces her plans for her transition, which include her
plan to move to Sydney to begin transgender hormone
therapy.
Spin/Stir Women’s Physical Theatre Collective, realised work was not
written by women, but it was written for men.
Open clasp theatre- co-creating theatre with women who
are excluded by theatre and society to create bold and
urgent theatre for personal, social, and political change.
Milk presents- a queer artist-led theatre company. A.
group of graduates from Royal Central who started
creating work in Eastleigh in 2011. they aim to make work
that test boundaries and acts as a protest to queer issues
MISSION STATEMENT
• We must challenge thoughts
that reflect negative societal
behaviours. Through the
powerful combination of
verbatim unheard voices and
movement.
• Specific
Who is involved in this project? actors, performers and any charity we involve.
What tools will we use? An interview process, this would be in order to collate verbatim
for our piece.
Research; A venue, in order to put on the performance. Lights, set and costumes (if we
want them)
Our goal is important because we want to give unheard voices a platform to speak their
mind. And provoke change of norms in society.
• Measurable
How will we track our progress? For us we decided that setting individual tasks each
week would work the best in order to spread out the work for us.
Time management is important to us so that we can achieve what we wanted by a
certain time.
• Achievable
Things we need, sponsorships, crowd fundraisers, donations etc.
• Relevance
Why is it important? Our piece is important and will be relevant to current times
because we believe it is important to give unheard voices a platform to speak their
mind. And provoke change of norms in society.
•
Time Bound
• We wanted to be able to achieve our goal by week 6, to be ready for this
presentation (this week) which I believe we have done. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-NC
