The study investigates the antimycotic activity of leaf extracts from five medicinal plants against Mucor circinelloides, a fungus responsible for mucormycosis, a serious infection associated with steroid use in COVID-19 patients. Results indicate that extracts from Catharanthus roseus and Nerium indicum exhibit significant inhibitory effects, while others show moderate activity. The findings support the potential of plant-derived products in developing natural treatments for fungal infections.
