ኢትዮጵያ የታላላቅ የዓለም ኃይማኖቶች መገኛ የሆነች
ሀገር ናት፡፡ ክርስትና ፣ እስልምና እና የአይሁድ እምነት
አብረው ኖረዋል፡፡ ሀገሪቱ የተለያዩ ባህሎች እና
ቋንቋዎች ያላቸው ብሔር ብሔረሰቦች መኖሪያ ናት፡፡
በዚህ ምክንያት ኢትዮጵያ የበርካታ ሃይማኖቶች፣
ቋንቋዎችና ባህሎች ሀገር ናት፡፡
የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዴሞክራሲያዊ ሪፑብሊክ ሕገ-
መንግስት ለዜጎች የሃይማኖት ነፃነት (አንቀፅ 11 ፣ 25 ፣
27 እና 31) ይሰጣል፡፡ እያንዳንዱ ሕዝብ የራሱን ባሕል
መግለጽና ማበልጸግ እንዲችል ዕድል ይሰጣል፡፡
ብዝኃነትን በማክበር በአንድነት በሰላም መኖርን
ያበረታታል፡፡

ንብረት መውደም ምክንያት የነበረው የብሐር-ተኮር
ግጭቶች እና አመጽ ሐይማኖትን መሰረት ያደረጉ
ግጭቶች እና አመጽ ተከስተዋል፡፡ በእነዚህ ሁከቶችና
ግጭቶች ውስጥ አማኞችም ተሳትፈዋል፤
ተጎድተዋልም፡፡
What are the driving factors of conflict?
• Competition over resource,
• Competition over power,
• Inappropriate understanding of our identities (Ethnic, biblical and evangelical
identity and etc)
• Extremist views,
• Inequality,
• Ignorance,
• Lack of compromising,
• Bad governance,
• Immorality,
• Greediness,
• Poor understanding and handling of diversity,
• False information, etc
Guiding question
• As church, are we there to fulfil peace, or work for it?

• We live and work in the already-not-yet framework: we work realistically within the mess, but with hope!
• ከላይ ያየናቸው እንደክርስቲያን በዚህ ምድር ስንኖር መገለጫዎቻችን ናቸው
• Christians are the ‘’body of Christ’’ (1.Cor 12), representing the new humanity God is creating
• New creation; the church as a sign and vehicle for God`s purposes for humanity
• A known theologian said, ‘’Theology without practice is dead, practice without life is blind.’’

Introduction:
• As individuals, or Leader all of us including State leaders and
representatives, Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, including other faith
sector leaders, together with scholars and experts have one
aspiration in common - that is to see a prosperous Ethiopia, and
Africa at continent level.
When we talk about our role as a community
about peace..
• The question is not how Christianity contributes to peace, but what kind
of Christianity can contribute to peace? I am talking about church.
• ቤተ ክርስቲያን በሐዋሪያት እና በኒቂያ የሃይማኖት መግለጫዎች ስተገለጽ
አንዲት፤ ቅድስት፤ ካቶሊካዊት እና ሐዋሪያዊት ናት፡፡ ይህ ማለት ምን ማለት
ነው፡፡
E.g. church represents something new that crosses & creates new
boundaries of community – Christ People. Breaks tribalism.
ቤተ ክርስቲያን ምንድ ናት?
� ብዙ የተለያዩ ትርጉሞች ቢኖሩትም በቀላሉ ለመረዳት የሰውነትን አካል መጠቀም
እንችላለን፡፡
� አካላችን (ሰውነታችን) የብዙ አካል ክፍሎች ስብስብ ቢሆንም ውስጠዊ ማንነታችን
ሳንዘረዝር ውጫዊውን ማንነታችንን ስንመለከት የተለያዩ የሠውነት ክፍሎች
ይኖሩናል፡፡
� ለምሳሌ እግር፣ እጅ፣አፍ፣ አይን፣ጆሮ፣
� እግር ይሄዳል
� እጅ ይሠራል (ይጨብጣል ከኮሮና በፍት)
� አፍይ ናገራል
� አይን ያያል
� ጆሮ ይሰማል....
ቤተክርስቲያን
• በክርስቶስ ደም የተዋጀች ቅድስት ተቋም ናት፡፡ አገልጋዮቿ በታማኝነት እና
በቅድስና ማገልገል ግድ ይላል፡፡ 1ቆሮ 6፡-19 ሐ.ሥ 20፡-28፡፡
• የእግዚአብሔር መኖሪያ/ማደሪያ ናት ኤፌ 2፡-20-22 ኢሳ 66፡-1-2
• የክርሰቶስ ሙሽራ ናት፡፡ ስለሆነም በድካማችን ምክንያት መልኳ እንዳይበላሽ
ወይም እንዳይጠፋ በዚህም ምክንያት በሕይወታችን ዋጋ መክፈል እንዳይመጣ
ልንጠነቀቅ ይገባል፡፡ 2ቆሮ 11፡-2 ራዕ 22፡-17 ኤፌ 4-2፡-11፡፡

• ተግባራቶቿን እንድትወጣ ኃይል እንዲኖራት ልዩ ልዩ የፀጋ ስጦታ የተሰጣት ናት፡፡

• ሁሉ በአግባብና በሥርዓት እንዲሆን ልዩ ልዩ መርሆዎች የተሰጧት ናት፡፡ ኤፌ 4፡-

Where do we start?
Simon Oliver Sinek is an English-born American author and inspirational
speaker on business leadership. He introduced the concept of the Golden
Circle: a simple model that explains why some people and organizations are
more successful than others. He argues that people don't buy what you do,
they buy why you do it.He said that most businesses would tend to think
outside-in from “What” we do to “How” and “Why” we do it. However,
inspired leaders would rather think the other way round – going from “Why”
to “How” and then to “What.”
Apple is an example of Simon Sinek's Golden Circle in action. Apple's success
can be attributed to its clear understanding of its “why,” which is to challenge
the status quo and think differently. Apple's “why” focuses on believing in
innovation and thinking differently.
• Apple’s “Why”: We believe in “thinking differently” and “challenging the
status quo” in everything we do.
Where do we start?
• Apple’s “How”: Our products are designed beautifully and are quite
simple to use.
• Apple’s “What”: “We just happen to sell computers.”He advices not be
like many other organizations, who are out there with the sole purpose
of making money. A business without a “purpose” and “inspiration”
won’t survive for long. Instead, identify your purpose and mission –
Why do you want to do it? Do you have a story to tell that can inspire
the world?Apple wasn't just in the business of selling computers and
gadgets; they were challenging norms, disrupting industries, and
empowering individuals to think differently.

Conflict styles/ለግጭት ምላሽ የምንሰጥባቸው
መንገዶች
• We all have a naturally preferred way of responding to
conflict – all ways have their strengths and
weaknesses. We need to be aware of our preferred
style and be conscious of when it is most and least
appropriate, being prepared to switch to other styles
when necessary.
Conflict often moves us out of our comfort zones. Some conflict
takes us into the alarm zone, where we feel overwhelmingly threatened. But if we can
work constructively and creatively with our conflicts, we can make them a discomfort
zone where we learn
and grow. The discomfort zone is holy ground.
How/styles animals deal with conflict
Animal conflict styles
Turtle – tends to pull in to protect itself and minimise hurt. Watching
what is happening, but
keeping that shell between the conflict and its vulnerable parts. Hides
away from conflict if it
can.

Teddy – wishes we could all get along and love one another. Willing to
give up what its own
desires for the sake of maintaining the relationship with the other.
Rhino – knows what is right and what needs to
be done and will press ahead in that
knowledge.
If someone gets their foot stepped on, their
foot shouldn’t have been there. Willing to take
leadership and step forth strongly. መወዳደር/ማስገደድ

Compromise
Fox looks for the deal that will work things out. Wants to get the most
possible out of this but knows that sometimes you have to give up
some things to get what you want.

• Dolphin – tries to bring all the stakeholders together
and agree on something that will be workable for
everyone. How can we maximise what we can all get
out of this situation? ሁለታችንም እናሸንፋለን

• ሰላም የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ማዕከላዊ ሀሳብ ነው።
• በኪንግ ጄምስ የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ትርጉም ውስጥ ሰላም የሚለው ቃል 420
ጊዜ ያህል ተጠቅሷል። (311 Old Testament and 109 new Testament)
•ሰላም በዕብራይስጥ ቋንቋ “ሻሎም”
ይበላል።
• ሙላትን/ሙሉነትን
• ስምምነትን
• ደህንነት እና
• የሕይወት እርካታን ያመለክታል፡፡
• ሙሉነት፣ ከእግዚአብሔር እና ከሰዎች ጋር መስማማትን
ያመለክታል፡፡
• ነቢዩ ኢሳይያስ የጠፋውን ሰላም ለማስመለስ በእግዚአብሔር
የሚላክ መሲህ (Isa al-Masih)ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ መሆኑን

• እኛ ሕፃን ተወልዶልናልና ፣ ወንድ ልጅ ተሰጥቶናልና ፣

ማህበረሰቡ ጋር መልካም ግንኙነት
መፍጠር ነው፡፡
•ከተፈጥሮ አካባቢ ጋር መታረቅ፡-
የእግዚአብሔር ፍጥረትን መንከባከብ ነው፡፡

• ራስን መቀበል
በእግዚአብሔር ድንቅና ግሩም ሆነህ ተፈጠርህ
• ግሩምና ድንቅ ሆኜ ተፈጥሬአለሁና አመሰግንሃለሁ፣ ሥራህ
ድንቅ ነው፣ ነፍሴም እጅግ ታውቀዋለች (መዝሙር 139:14)
• መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ የራሳችን ፀጉር እንደተቆጠረ ይነግረናል (ሉቃስ
12፡7)።
• ሰውነትህ እግዚአብሔር በቅዱስ መንፈሱ የሚኖርበት
የእግዚአብሔር መቅደስ ነው (1ቆሮንቶስ 3፡16)፡፡ አንተ
የተከበርህ የሰው ልጅ ነህ፡፡
ራስህን መውደድ መማር ያስፈልግሃል
“ባልንጀራህን እንደ ራስህ ውደድ” (ማቴ. 22፡39) ።

⁶ አንተ ታካች፥ ወደ ገብረ ጕንዳን ሂድ፥
መንገድዋንም ተመልክተህ ጠቢብ ሁን።
⁷ አለቃና አዛዥ ገዢም ሳይኖራት፤
⁸ መብልዋን በበጋ ታሰናዳለች፥ መኖዋንም
በመከር ትሰበስባለች።
3. ከለሌሎች ሰዎች
 ሰዎች ሁሉ እኩል መሆናቸውን መረዳት
• ባልንጀራን መውደድ
• ወርቃማው ትዕዛዝ
• ሚዛናዊ ንግግር
• ይቅርታ

4. ከኅብረተሰብ ተቋማት ጋር በሰላም መኖር
የሕዝብ ንብረቶችን መንከባከብ
• ህንፃዎችን፣ መንገዶችን፣ የኤሌክትሪክ እና የውሃ
መስመሮችን፣ ፓርኮችን፣ ደኖችን፣ የአውቶቡስ
ማቆሚያዎችን፣ የመጫወቻ ስፍራዎችን፣
ቤተመፃህፍቶችን፣ ወዘተ የመሳሰሉትን ያካትታል፡፡
እነዚህ ንብረቶች የሁላችንም ሲሆኑ በሁላችንም
ሊጠበቁ ይገባል፡፡
• ከመንግስት ጋር ባንስማማም እንኳ ፣ በመንግስት
ላይ ተቃውሞ ስናሰማ የሕዝብ ንብረት ማበላሸት
የለብንም፡፡
ከኅብረተሰብ ተቋማት ጋር በሰላም
መኖር ማለት፦
A. የዜግነት ኃላፊነት
B. የሕግ የበላይነትን ማክበር፡ ሁሉም ሰው በኅብረተሰቡ
ውስጥ ያለው የኑሮ ሁኔታ ወይም ሥልጣን ምንም ይሁን ምን
በደንብ(Norms) ለተገለጸው እና ለተቋቋመ ሕግ ተገዥና ተጠያቂ
ሆኖ የሚኖርበት መርህ ነው፡፡
ሐዋርያው ጴጥሮስ የመንግሥት ባለሥልጣናት ክፉ
የሚያደርጉትን ሲቀጡ የእግዚአብሔር ወኪሎች መሆናቸውን
እንደሚያሳዩ ይናገራል (1ጴጥሮስ 2፡14)፡፡ ምድራዊ
ባለሥልጣናት በእግዚአብሔር ሕልውና ላይ የተመሰረቱ ናቸው፡፡
ይህ የሚያመለክተው የሰው ልጅ መስተዳድር በእግዚአብሔር
የተቋቋመ መሆኑን ነው፡፡

Attitude towards other religions and traditions:
It hangs on three major poles:
1. The exclusivist view, (one single religion is true) – who do we involve?
2. The inclusivist view, (truth can be found in various forms within other
religions) – the composition of the dialogue
3. The pluralist view. (all religions have true revelations and therefore
no single religion can claim final and definitive truth).

- An attitude of respect and friendship (Ujamaa/Ubuntu)
- Believers seek to cooperate and collaborate

ሁሉ ነቢያትም ተሰቅለዋል።’’ ይላል
•What is the gospel? Is not a livelihood, it is a life.መኖሪያ
ሳይሆን ኑሮ ነው።
•Objective or means? ዋና ነገር ነው እንጂ ተከታይ

I. መግቢያ ኢትዮጵያ የታላላቅ የዓለም ኃይማኖቶች መገኛ የሆነች ሀገር ናት፡፡ ክርስትና ፣ እስልምና እና የአይሁድ እምነት አብረው ኖረዋል፡፡ ሀገሪቱ የተለያዩ ባህሎች እና ቋንቋዎች ያላቸው ብሔር ብሔረሰቦች መኖሪያ ናት፡፡ በዚህ ምክንያት ኢትዮጵያ የበርካታ ሃይማኖቶች፣ ቋንቋዎችና ባህሎች ሀገር ናት፡፡ የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዴሞክራሲያዊ ሪፑብሊክ ሕገ- መንግስት ለዜጎች የሃይማኖት ነፃነት (አንቀፅ 11 ፣ 25 ፣ 27 እና 31) ይሰጣል፡፡ እያንዳንዱ ሕዝብ የራሱን ባሕል መግለጽና ማበልጸግ እንዲችል ዕድል ይሰጣል፡፡ ብዝኃነትን በማክበር በአንድነት በሰላም መኖርን ያበረታታል፡፡

  • 5. መግቢያ… በቅርብ ጊዜ በአንዳንድ የአገሪቱ አካባቢዎች የሰዎች ሞት፣ በሕፃናትና በሴቶች ላይ ሥቃይ፣ በሚሊዮን የሚቆጠሩ ሰዎች መፈናቀልና የግል እና የመንግሥት ንብረት መውደም ምክንያት የነበረው የብሐር-ተኮር ግጭቶች እና አመጽ ሐይማኖትን መሰረት ያደረጉ ግጭቶች እና አመጽ ተከስተዋል፡፡ በእነዚህ ሁከቶችና ግጭቶች ውስጥ አማኞችም ተሳትፈዋል፤ ተጎድተዋልም፡፡

What are the driving factors of conflict? • Competition over resource, • Competition over power, • Inappropriate understanding of our identities (Ethnic, biblical and evangelical identity and etc) • Extremist views, • Inequality, • Ignorance, • Lack of compromising, • Bad governance, • Immorality, • Greediness, • Poor understanding and handling of diversity, • False information, etc
  • 7. Guiding question • As church, are we there to fulfil peace, or work for it?

Christians with dual citizenship ምድራዊ • ጊዜያዊ • የምድራዊ መንግሥት ሰራተኞች ነን • በምድር ህግ እንተዳደራለን • እንመርጣለን እንመረጣለን እንሾማለን እንሻራለን ሰማያዊ • ዘላለማዊ • የዘላለማዊው መንግሥት ሰራተኞች ነን • በእግዚአብሔር መንግስት ስርዓት እንመላለሳለን/ይጠበቅብናል። • አንመርጥም ተመርጠናል • የልጅነት የሆነ የማይሻር ስልጣን ተሰጥቶናል። ወዘተ. . . • We live and work in the already-not-yet framework: we work realistically within the mess, but with hope! • ከላይ ያየናቸው እንደክርስቲያን በዚህ ምድር ስንኖር መገለጫዎቻችን ናቸው • Christians are the ‘’body of Christ’’ (1.Cor 12), representing the new humanity God is creating • New creation; the church as a sign and vehicle for God`s purposes for humanity • A known theologian said, ‘’Theology without practice is dead, practice without life is blind.’’ •

Introduction: • As individuals, or Leader all of us including State leaders and representatives, Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, including other faith sector leaders, together with scholars and experts have one aspiration in common - that is to see a prosperous Ethiopia, and Africa at continent level.
  • 10. When we talk about our role as a community about peace.. • The question is not how Christianity contributes to peace, but what kind of Christianity can contribute to peace?   • 11. ቤተ ክርስቲያን ምንድ ናት? � ብዙ የተለያዩ ትርጉሞች ቢኖሩትም በቀላሉ ለመረዳት የሰውነትን አካል መጠቀም እንችላለን፡፡ � አካላችን (ሰውነታችን) የብዙ አካል ክፍሎች ስብስብ ቢሆንም ውስጠዊ ማንነታችን ሳንዘረዝር ውጫዊውን ማንነታችንን ስንመለከት የተለያዩ የሠውነት ክፍሎች ይኖሩናል፡፡ � ለምሳሌ እግር፣ እጅ፣አፍ፣ አይን፣ጆሮ፣ � እግር ይሄዳል � እጅ ይሠራል (ይጨብጣል ከኮሮና በፍት) � አፍይ ናገራል � አይን ያያል � ጆሮ ይሰማል....
  • 12. ቤተክርስቲያን • በክርስቶስ ደም የተዋጀች ቅድስት ተቋም ናት፡፡ አገልጋዮቿ በታማኝነት እና በቅድስና ማገልገል ግድ ይላል፡፡ 1ቆሮ 6፡-19 ሐ.ሥ 20፡-28፡፡ • የእግዚአብሔር መኖሪያ/ማደሪያ ናት ኤፌ 2፡-20-22 ኢሳ 66፡-1-2 • የክርሰቶስ ሙሽራ ናት፡፡ ስለሆነም በድካማችን ምክንያት መልኳ እንዳይበላሽ ወይም እንዳይጠፋ በዚህም ምክንያት በሕይወታችን ዋጋ መክፈል እንዳይመጣ ልንጠነቀቅ ይገባል፡፡ 2ቆሮ 11፡-2 ራዕ 22፡-17 ኤፌ 4-2፡-11፡፡ • ወንጌልን ለሰዎች ሁሉ ለመስበክ/ለማስተማር የታዘዘች ናት፡፡ ማር 16፡-15 ማቴ 28፡-19-20 • ተግባራቶቿን እንድትወጣ ኃይል እንዲኖራት ልዩ ልዩ የፀጋ ስጦታ የተሰጣት ናት፡፡ ሮሜ 12፡-3-8 1ቆሮ 12፡-4-11 • ሁሉ በአግባብና በሥርዓት እንዲሆን ልዩ ልዩ መርሆዎች የተሰጧት ናት፡፡ ኤፌ 4፡- 11-13 ሐሥ 20-28 1ኛቆሮ 14፤ 40
  • 13. Where do we start? Simon Oliver Sinek is an English-born American author and inspirational speaker on business leadership. He introduced the concept of the Golden Circle: a simple model that explains why some people and organizations are more successful than others. He argues that people don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it.He said that most businesses would tend to think outside-in from “What” we do to “How” and “Why” we do it. However, inspired leaders would rather think the other way round – going from “Why” to “How” and then to “What.” Apple is an example of Simon Sinek's Golden Circle in action. Apple's success can be attributed to its clear understanding of its “why,” which is to challenge the status quo and think differently. Apple's “why” focuses on believing in innovation and thinking differently. • Apple’s “Why”: We believe in “thinking differently” and “challenging the status quo” in everything we do.

Where do we start? • Apple’s “How”: Our products are designed beautifully and are quite simple to use. • Apple’s “What”: “We just happen to sell computers.”He advices not be like many other organizations, who are out there with the sole purpose of making money. A business without a “purpose” and “inspiration” won’t survive for long. Instead, identify your purpose and mission – Why do you want to do it? Do you have a story to tell that can inspire the world?Apple wasn't just in the business of selling computers and gadgets; they were challenging norms, disrupting industries, and empowering individuals to think differently.

  • 18. Conflict styles/ለግጭት ምላሽ የምንሰጥባቸው መንገዶች • We all have a naturally preferred way of responding to conflict – all ways have their strengths and weaknesses. We need to be aware of our preferred style and be conscious of when it is most and least appropriate, being prepared to switch to other styles when necessary. Conflict often moves us out of our comfort zones. Some conflict takes us into the alarm zone, where we feel overwhelmingly threatened. But if we can work constructively and creatively with our conflicts, we can make them a discomfort zone where we learn and grow. The discomfort zone is holy ground.

  • 20. Animal conflict styles Turtle – tends to pull in to protect itself and minimise hurt. Watching what is happening, but keeping that shell between the conflict and its vulnerable parts. Hides away from conflict if it can. መራቅ (እተወዋለሁ)
  • 21. Teddy – wishes we could all get along and love one another. Willing to give up what its own desires for the sake of maintaining the relationship with the other.
  • 22. Rhino – knows what is right and what needs to be done and will press ahead in that knowledge. If someone gets their foot stepped on, their foot shouldn’t have been there. Willing to take leadership and step forth strongly. መወዳደር/ማስገደድ (እጄን እወስዳለሁ)–
