This review discusses the distribution and pharmacological activities of flavonoids, natural compounds found abundantly in various plant families, particularly those used in traditional Chinese medicine. Flavonoids exhibit diverse biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antitumor effects, which are mediated through several signaling pathways.
