PANEBARCO
BREVE STORIA DI UN'AZIENDA MUTANTE 
DAL GIURASSICO AI GIORNI NOSTRI (IN 5 MINUTI, EH!)
Questa storia inizia con un bambino, Daniele, che fin da piccolissimo divora fumetti e libri
di avventure. Daniele a scuola non è una cima in generale, e in arte e disegno ha pessimi
voti, ma cresce coltivando una grande passione per la narrazione. A 19 anni riesce a
diplomarsi come ragioniere e trova pure un posto sicuro in banca, ma stare chinato sui libri
contabili non è esattamente il suo mestiere.
LE ORIGINI
Ha la fortuna di incontrare e sposare una meravigliosa donna, Lucia, che lo incoraggia e lo
supporta anche economicamente, e così Daniele può permettersi di lasciare il posto fisso
e inseguire il suo sogno di diventare autore di storie a fumetti.
LE ORIGINI
Dopo tre anni da autodidatta, 3 anni di tentativi e rifiuti, porte chiuse e delusioni, ecco che
nell'aprile del 1976 la rivista Il Mago gli pubblica la sua prima storia.
TENACIA E PASSIONE
Per vent'anni Daniele disegna fumetti per le più importanti riviste e inserti di settore, da
Linus, a Orient Express, da Tango a Cuore a Satyricon di Repubblica, e nel frattempo con
Lucia mette su una numerosa famiglia.

DALLA CARTA AL DIGITALE
Poi negli anni '90 Daniele va in crisi, una crisi esistenziale, creativa e anche dovuta a fattori
economici. Fortunatamente quella era l'epoca in cui i primi computer entravano nelle case delle
famiglie, e così, insieme ad un amico programmatore, Angelo Biolcati, Daniele si inventa un
nuovo mestiere: l'autore di storie interattive. L'idea piacque a diversi editori italiani, tanto che
Daniele decise di fondare la Panebarco & C., con la principale mission di educare divertendo.
Dal 1995 al 2001 l'azienda ha firmato oltre 40 titoli per De Agostini Multimedia dedicati ai
bambini e ai ragazzi, tra questi avventure interattive, atlanti ed enciclopedie multimediali.
Molti di questi titoli sono stati anche tradotti e localizzati all'estero, Francia, Spagna,
Germania, Russia, Cina... Nel 2001 Daniele con mano un'altra profonda crisi, il mercato
del cd­rom iniziò ad esaurirsi, probabilmente per l'avvento di internet.
L'ERA MULTIMEDIALE
Ma la Panebarco & C. era già pronta per una seconda era, quella del 3d in tempo reale.
Decise di mutuare dai videogame questo linguaggio di navigazione e declinarlo per il
settore dei beni culturali. Grazie ad un discreto expertise nella modellazione 3d, maturato
realizzando contenuti multimediali per i cd­rom, il team Panebarco iniziò a lavorare a
progetti di ricostruzione 3d di siti archeologici, musei e spazi espositivi, che potevano
essere fruiti online in tempo reale ed in maniera immersiva ed interattiva.

READY FOR ANOTHER (R)EVOLUTION
Nel frattempo anche i 3 figli di Daniele, Marianna Matteo e Camilla, entrano in azienda e
grazie alle loro competenze e nuove sensibilità, un paio di anni fa, l'azienda si
evolve nuovamente entrando nella terza ed attuale era. 
Oggi l'azienda, che a settembre 2015 ha festeggiato i suoi 20 anni, è principalmente
focalizzata sullo sviluppo di cartoni animati e video in grafica 2d e 3d. Video brevi,
infografiche animate, pillole di contenuto.
