To all the brave service people that defend our country, ensure
our safety and give their lives so our liberty is assured.

52nd infantry on tour, and all the loved ones who support her
during her second ght with ovarian cancer.

“Each and every call is like a pearl being strung on a necklace

A Story Of A Silent American Tragedy
Do you know about the inexcusable tragedy of deployed troops
not being able to call their loved ones for free? Many soldiers risk
and give their lives daily for our safety and liberty: surely they
                                   deserve better don’t they?

Operation Valentines Connection is sponsored by JoeOnTheMove

Veterans ... “As a veteran I can say although a letter is
great, there is no GREATER feeling a soldier can
get than to be able to reach out to those they
care about and share how they feel instantly. I
know it meant a lot to me.” Arthur M.

“I believe in this cause. Personal experience of
23 years in the Military and now my Grand
Niece is in Iraq. You can’t know the joy of
speaking to loved ones from that environment
until you experience it first hand.” Jim B.

“Just to hear a voice from someone back home
can change a soldier’s outlook on any given
                               day.” Sherry S.

“I was a soldier and know what it means to not
be able to contact loved ones, help a GI, it’s a
                               good cause!” Robert

Remembering ... “In June 2009 my fiance lost his life to injuries
he sustained by fighting in Afghanistan.
We only had a few phone calls but when he
was able to call, They meant the world to me. I
have them saved in my memory.
I dont want another loved one to not have the
oppertunity to tell their loved ones how much
they REALLY mean to them. Life is way to short
to not say the words "I love you" and mean
                                   them.” Tina A.

"A phone call to a loved one can mean the
difference between life or death to some of our
soldiers! Every little bit helps. Thanks for the
support!” Currently serving - Lindsay C.

Remembering ... “I thank our troops everyday for our safety and
our freedom. My cousin died in this war. He
died defending our Great country. These men
and women deserve to be able to call home.
God Bless everyone who joins this cause.”

“My Brother is serving in Afghanistan right now.
This week 2 soldiers in his regiment were killed,
he can't talk about that but he can reassure his
                              family he’s ok.
My brother can listen to our voices and have a
little peice of mind and comfort for a few
minutes, is that to much to ask?” Jenny R. R.

Mothers ... “Having had a son killed in Iraq, it would have
been a blessing to have heard from him more
and for longer times... Lets band together to
get this done for all the families that are still
                                 there.” Carol A. H.

"As I fight to win the war my body is raging
against cancer my son fights in the war against
terrorism and those against the freedoms all
people deserve. We draw strength from each
other, knowing that family and their love is the
backbone and the core of what is important in
                                 our struggles.
Terrorist are like a cancer that is trying to
spread through the body of the world, and as
my son fights that I want to be able to be
listen, share and support him in his challenging
                                 battle." Debbie Peterson

Mothers ... “I miss my son and would love to be able to
talk to him more. He chose to defend his
country, if not for him and men and women like
him, we would not have the freedoms we love
today. Please support free phone calls for our

tant it is for the troops to be able to have
contact with family and loved ones, free phone
calls are the least they deserve.” Angela P.

“I hope this will help, in remembrance of a
SON!!!! My girlfriend had a son that went over
sea's and does not have the opportunity to ever
call her son on the phone - he was killed. I
hope all that reads this to invite all their friend's
to support this cause before it to be to late.”

Wives and children ... “My husband is a member of the armforces and
it's very inportant for troops to be able to call
home to talk to there family to know that things
are ok at home keep's them focused and it's
also needed for family at home to know hat
they are well and ok. surely this is the least
                                they deserve.” Alison E. A.

“My hubby is currently deployed and hearing
from him on the phone is something that keeps
me going. He was unable to see his first child
be born because he is deployed. Phone cards
add up quickly...let alone trying to do every day
things with out our loved one.
Even though our little one is only 3 months old
he knows his Daddy's voice & smiles every time
he calls home. I am so thankful for all that our
soldiers do & wish they would give back to
them & let them call home for FREE!!!”

Wives and children... “As an Army Wife I know what it takes for the
troops to call home. It takes a lot.
You have a choice of either getting not even 15
minutes a day. Or spend 150 bucks on a phone
and still have to pay for minutes every time you
run out. So not just because my husband is in
the military do I think the military should be
able to call home for free... but because they
deserve it for putting their life on the line.”
                                Molly M.

“When my dad was in Viet Nam for a year,
hearing his voice was just a dream. We all
watched the news together every evening to
listen to the list of soldiers that were confirmed
dead. Every evening for the year. To have been
able to actually speak to him would have eased
our worries significantly. I hope you succeed in
                                your cause.” Jane B.

Wives and children... “I think phone calls to soldiers and from
soldiers should be free. I just paid $700 for
talking to my husband overseas and my mother
in law paid $800 for talking to her son.”

“My husband is serving in Afghanistan right
now. We spend boatloads of money for him to
call home. Some months, we can't afford it.
When I don't hear from him, it's really rough on
both of us. I need to know he is safe, and he
needs to know that we're all ok here.
They worry about us too, and they don't need
to while they are over there. Calling home
allows him to keep his mind on his job, so he
can come home safe.” Amanda A.

this, it means a child talking to daddy, a mother
who will be able to sleep after hearing her son’s
voice, a love one knowing the person they love
                          is still alive, priceless.” Irene

When I was a baby my dad was in the navy but
he decided to stop so he could help my mom
raise me. I think it would be nice if all of the
soldiers could make free phone calls after all I
do think that they do deserve @ least a free
phone call after all they are fighting for our
country. So if we really care about our soldiers
then we need to raise this money people so we
can talk to our soldiers! Morgan M.

Our Supporters ... “I thank our troops everyday for our safety and
our freedom. My cousin died in this war. He
died defending our Great country. These men
and women deserve to be able to call home.
God Bless everyone who joins this cause.”

“They do the unthinkable. Free phone calls
home, do they not deserve this????” Kim F.

“These men and women risk their LIVES for
us, our country, and for all people around the
world. We NEED to take care of them!”
                              Michelle P.

“Amazing what your voice means to someone

Our Supporters ... “Our troops consist of husbands, wives, fathers,
mothers, sisters, brothers, and more. They
appreciate all the support they can get. Thank
you to those who are devising this wonderful
program; you are making a positive difference
in the lives of many.” Aimee C.

“Having family in the military I totally support
them to have free calls home to their families.
It's a very small request for each soldier to
have contact with their families, as each and
everyone of them are doing a great job and
have sacrificed for all of us that live here in the
                                USA.” Mary H.

“My son will deploy to afganastan in March. I
know our troops are trained to be physically
and mentally strong but they need contact with
                                loved ones in order to satisfy our other aspects;
                                emotional and spiritual.” Bill V.

                                                            About JoeOnTheMove
JoeOnTheMove was founded in September 2008 by two
active duty U.S. soldiers, Patrick Ayres and Larry Thorpe.
Larry and Patrick met while stationed in South Korea and
quickly identified a common problem found by individuals that serve in the military - COMMUNICATION.

Anyone who has served in the military can tell you that communication with loved ones and friends
can be difficult depending on where you are deployed or stationed. Larry Thorpe and Patrick Ayres,
learned this first hand during their foreign tour. Together they resolved they would make
a difference and solve this problem for other troops.

  Key Accomplishments -
1 million minutes in free phone calls distributed to U.S. military (July 4th, 2009).
  Over 1.5 million F

Veterans ... “As a veteran I can say although a letter is great, there is no GREATER feeling a soldier can get than to be able to reach out to those they care about and share how they feel instantly. I know it meant a lot to me.” Arthur M. “I believe in this cause. Personal experience of 23 years in the Military and now my Grand Niece is in Iraq. You can’t know the joy of speaking to loved ones from that environment until you experience it first hand.” Jim B. “Just to hear a voice from someone back home can change a soldier’s outlook on any given day.” Sherry S. “I was a soldier and know what it means to not be able to contact loved ones, help a GI, it’s a good cause!” Robert Donated free calls means the world to us
  • 7. Remembering ... “In June 2009 my fiance lost his life to injuries he sustained by fighting in Afghanistan. We only had a few phone calls but when he was able to call, They meant the world to me. I have them saved in my memory. I dont want another loved one to not have the oppertunity to tell their loved ones how much they REALLY mean to them. Life is way to short to not say the words "I love you" and mean them.” Tina A. "A phone call to a loved one can mean the difference between life or death to some of our soldiers! Every little bit helps. Thanks for the support!” Currently serving - Lindsay C. calls can mean the difference between life and death.. .
  • 8. Remembering ... “I thank our troops everyday for our safety and our freedom. My cousin died in this war. He died defending our Great country. These men and women deserve to be able to call home. God Bless everyone who joins this cause.” Diane M. “My Brother is serving in Afghanistan right now. This week 2 soldiers in his regiment were killed, he can't talk about that but he can reassure his family he’s ok. My brother can listen to our voices and have a little peice of mind and comfort for a few minutes, is that to much to ask?” Jenny R. R. donated free calls are a tribute to their service
  • 9. Mothers ... “Having had a son killed in Iraq, it would have been a blessing to have heard from him more and for longer times... Lets band together to get this done for all the families that are still there.” Carol A. H. "As I fight to win the war my body is raging against cancer my son fights in the war against terrorism and those against the freedoms all people deserve. We draw strength from each other, knowing that family and their love is the backbone and the core of what is important in our struggles. Terrorist are like a cancer that is trying to spread through the body of the world, and as my son fights that I want to be able to be listen, share and support him in his challenging battle." Debbie Peterson donated free calls mean memories treasured forever
  • 10. Mothers ... “I miss my son and would love to be able to talk to him more. He chose to defend his country, if not for him and men and women like him, we would not have the freedoms we love today. Please support free phone calls for our soldiers.” “My son is in the forces and i know how impor- tant it is for the troops to be able to have contact with family and loved ones, free phone calls are the least they deserve.” Angela P. “I hope this will help, in remembrance of a SON!!!! My girlfriend had a son that went over sea's and does not have the opportunity to ever call her son on the phone - he was killed. I hope all that reads this to invite all their friend's to support this cause before it to be to late.” James B. donated free calls keeps their memory alive
  • 11. Wives and children ... “My husband is a member of the armforces and it's very inportant for troops to be able to call home to talk to there family to know that things are ok at home keep's them focused and it's also needed for family at home to know hat they are well and ok. surely this is the least they deserve.” Alison E. A. “My hubby is currently deployed and hearing from him on the phone is something that keeps me going. He was unable to see his first child be born because he is deployed. Phone cards add up quickly...let alone trying to do every day things with out our loved one. Even though our little one is only 3 months old he knows his Daddy's voice & smiles every time he calls home. I am so thankful for all that our soldiers do & wish they would give back to them & let them call home for FREE!!!” Danielle G. donating free calls helps childern and moms
  • 12. Wives and children... “As an Army Wife I know what it takes for the troops to call home. It takes a lot. You have a choice of either getting not even 15 minutes a day. Or spend 150 bucks on a phone and still have to pay for minutes every time you run out. So not just because my husband is in the military do I think the military should be able to call home for free... but because they deserve it for putting their life on the line.” Molly M. “When my dad was in Viet Nam for a year, hearing his voice was just a dream. We all watched the news together every evening to listen to the list of soldiers that were confirmed dead. Every evening for the year. To have been able to actually speak to him would have eased our worries significantly. I hope you succeed in your cause.” Jane B. donated free calls mean we can support our heroes
  • 13. Wives and children... “I think phone calls to soldiers and from soldiers should be free. I just paid $700 for talking to my husband overseas and my mother in law paid $800 for talking to her son.” Melissa M. “My husband is serving in Afghanistan right now. We spend boatloads of money for him to call home. Some months, we can't afford it. When I don't hear from him, it's really rough on both of us. I need to know he is safe, and he needs to know that we're all ok here. They worry about us too, and they don't need to while they are over there. Calling home allows him to keep his mind on his job, so he can come home safe.” Amanda A. donated free calls rescues us from insane phone bills
  • 14. New families ... “My husband was out there while I was preg- nant with our first baby and it broke my heart not to hear his voice.” Sam “A phone call to their love ones is all these men are asking for, as a mother i can understand this, it means a child talking to daddy, a mother who will be able to sleep after hearing her son’s voice, a love one knowing the person they love is still alive, priceless.” Irene When I was a baby my dad was in the navy but he decided to stop so he could help my mom raise me. I think it would be nice if all of the soldiers could make free phone calls after all I do think that they do deserve @ least a free phone call after all they are fighting for our country. So if we really care about our soldiers then we need to raise this money people so we can talk to our soldiers! Morgan M. free calls keep new families connected
  • 15. Our Supporters ... “I thank our troops everyday for our safety and our freedom. My cousin died in this war. He died defending our Great country. These men and women deserve to be able to call home. God Bless everyone who joins this cause.” Diane M. H. “They do the unthinkable. Free phone calls home, do they not deserve this????” Kim F. “These men and women risk their LIVES for us, our country, and for all people around the world. Thank you to those who are devising this wonderful program; you are making a positive difference in the lives of many.” Aimee C. “Having family in the military I totally support them to have free calls home to their families. It's a very small request for each soldier to have contact with their families, as each and everyone of them are doing a great job and have sacrificed for all of us that live here in the USA.” Mary H. “My son will deploy to afganastan in March. I know our troops are trained to be physically and mentally strong but they need contact with loved ones in order to satisfy our other aspects; emotional and spiritual.” Bill V. donating free calls helps families stay strong
  • 17. Our Supporters ... “If you don't join any other cause, you should join this one because those brave men and women are fighting for freedom, and our beliefs!! Its so hard to be away from the one's you love, I know this because I'm a disabled veteran!!! The least we can do for all of our soldiers free calls home, because GOD knows that far away that's all they have!!!
