The paper presents a successful modeling, design, and simulation of a vehicle windshield wiper system using H∞ loop shaping and robust pole placement controllers to enhance wiping speed and improve driving safety. The study demonstrates that the H∞ loop shaping controller outperforms the robust pole placement controller when tracking both step and sine wave speed inputs, thereby improving the wiper mechanism. Results are validated through MATLAB/Simulink simulations, showcasing notable performance enhancements in wiping speed regulation.
