This presentation was given at WCRE in Delft, Netherlands on November 10, 2004. It discusses a technique called "fingerprinting" to efficiently detect occurrences of design patterns in software by reducing the search space using quantitative characterizations of pattern roles derived from previous detections. The approach builds a repository of past detections, derives candidate rules to fingerprint roles, and validates the rules to reduce the domains of possible classes for each role.
Archaeology involves investigating the material remains of past human cultures to learn about their way of life. Students can pursue archaeology after completing higher secondary school with history or after graduating with a degree in any discipline, though social sciences are preferred. The main employer is the Archaeological Survey of India, which hires through exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission or state commissions. Pay ranges from approximately Rs. 96,000 annually for Junior Research Fellows to over Rs. 2,40,000 for lecturers and even more for professors, while assistant archaeologists earn between Rs. 1,20,000 to 1,80,000 annually. Several major Indian universities offer archaeology programs.
This document describes a process called PREREQUIR that uses cluster analysis to recover pre-requirements from stakeholder input. It involves collecting requirements from stakeholders, mapping them to vectors, clustering the vectors, and labeling the clusters. A case study applying this process to recover browser requirements from 22 stakeholders is described, with the results achieving 70% accuracy in clustering and 70-80% recall and precision when validated. Threats to the validity of the approach are also discussed.

In 2011, the State Cartographer’s Office announced a new pilot project to develop an updated and more accurate Public Land Survey System digital dataset for the state of Wisconsin. Beginning with a nine-county sample set, our goal was to develop and test methods to aggregate more accurate local survey information, which could serve as a revision and update to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Landnet dataset that was published in the 1990s. As we approach the conclusion of our pilot project, we wish to update the geospatial community as to the results of our pilot project and highlight the significant challenges
we faced and adjustments we made to our data model during the integration of multi-county datasets.

However, rising land and construction costs, hurricanes, the housing bubble burst, and recession have created new challenges for providing affordable housing.
The Moorings community has partnered with Indian River Habitat for Humanity since 1999, raising over $2 million and building 47 homes. The need for affordable housing continues to grow in Indian River County, with over 1,400 families living in overcrowded conditions. The Moorings Habitat Committee hopes to continue their strong support to build more homes and change more lives.
