Maemo 5 developer Janne Heikkinen announced the platform's capability to support GTK+ apps and 3D applications with OpenGL ES. A technical preview of the Qt 4.5 community port is available, with a final version expected in Q1 2010, and it will run on the Nokia N900. The promotion for community apps will be available on maemo.nokia.com starting from September 30th, attracting 10 million unique visitors.
