Aiza Bernardo: I’m worried... you might be tempted to cheat on me. Pablo Bernardo: Carmelita paid me 250 to bring her to her home. That’s a lot of money. ₱ Aiza Bernardo: So you like her because she’s rich? Pablo Bernardo: What?! No! I just want to bring her to her home because I it’s the right thing to do and she paid me money. It’s my job to bring people to their destinations if they pay me. Aiza Bernardo: Is she hot? Pablo Bernardo: What?! What kind of question is that?! Aiza Bernardo: Do you find her sexy? Aiza Bernardo: So you want to see her garden of flowers as an excuse to be near this hot girl! Pablo Bernardo: No! She told me she has rafflesias. The rafflesia is a rare flower! I want to see rafflesias. Aiza Bernardo: I doubt this girl has rafflesias. Rafflesias are too expensive to own. Also, you can only raise rafflesias if you own Tetrastigma vines. The Rafflesia is a parasitic plant. Rafflesias can’t survive without Tetrastigma vines! You think this girl can own expensive rafflesias and Tetrastigma vines?! Pablo Bernardo: Maybe she does own Tetrastigma vines! Aiza Bernardo: It sounds she’s lying that she has rafflesias so she can get close to you and fuck you! Pablo Bernardo: Please, let’s not fight. Aiza Bernardo: She’s trying to seduce you! Pablo Bernardo: If it makes you feel better, I won’t look at her garden of flowers. Aiza Bernardo: She wants you to see her pussy! Pablo Bernardo is angry. • 23.
Carmelita Del Rosario:Yes? Pablo Bernardo: Since you own rafflesias, do you own Tetrastigma vines? Carmelita Del Rosario: Of course I own Tetrastigma vines. Since the rafflesia is a parasitic plant, rafflesias need Tetrastigma vines to survive. Rafflesia species have no leaves, roots, stems, or chlorophyll. Rafflesia species live entirely hidden inside the Tetrastigma vine as thread-like cells. Pablo Bernardo: That’s interesting. Carmelita Del Rosario: Surprisingly, I own all thirteen species of rafflesia that are found here in the Philippines. I own Rafflesia aurantia, Rafflesia balatociana, Rafflesia baletei, Rafflesia banaoana, Rafflesia consueloae, Rafflesia lagascae, Rafflesia leonardi, Rafflesia lobata, Rafflesia manillana, Rafflesia mira, Rafflesia mixta, Rafflesia philippensis, Rafflesia schadenbergiana, Rafflesia speciosa, and Rafflesia verrucosa. Pablo Bernardo: Wow! I’m surprised you memorized the scientific names of all those plants! You’re really smart. Carmelita Del Rosario: Thank you for calling me smart. I love plants so much that I study them. Ten Minutes Later. Pablo Bernardo: Hey Carmelita, rafflesias are really expensive. So where do you get money to buy rafflesias? Also, how much does a rafflesia cost? Carmelita Del Rosario: Truth is, I’m very rich. My daddy worked in the oil industry in Saudi Arabia so that’s why I have a lot of money. A single rafflesia costs 17,895,831.62. That’s $400, ₱ 000 dollars in U.S. dollars. Since I’m so rich, I was able to buy those thirteen species of rafflesia. Pablo Bernardo: That’s amazing! Wow, you’re really lucky. Carmelita Del Rosario: I know. My daddy owns a big mansion in Tagaytay. But I prefer to live in my small cozy home near the Cagayan River. Pablo Bernardo: I wish I was rich like you. I would love to also work in the Saudi Arabian oil industry and get lots of money. Carmelita Del Rosario: You know, I could ask my daddy to give you a job in Saudi Arabia. Pablo Bernardo is happy. Pablo Bernardo: Really, wow! Carmelita Del Rosario: A kind man like you, Pablo, deserves to be rich. You can use the money to buy you what you want like food and clothes.
• 24.

Once you bring me home, I’ll call my daddy so you two can arrange a meeting. Pablo Bernardo: That’s wonderful! Wow! Thank you, Carmelita for helping me and my family out! You’re so great. Carmelita Del Rosario: You’re welcome, Pablo. You know Pablo, the rafflesia is also called the corpse flower because a rafflesia smells bad like a corpse. Pablo Bernardo: That’s fascinating. Twenty Minutes Later. Pablo Bernardo is thinking. Pablo Bernardo: This sexy smart girl is going to make my family and I rich. Wow! Thank you Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit! You sent me this angel to help us! I really want to see Carmelita’s garden of expensive rare rafflesias. Rafflesias are cool! Aiza will never know that I’ll see her garden.
