Integrated Solar Energy Systems and Innovative Renewable Energy Solutions in Israel

Within this context proposed to the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of
Energy; a master plan of unifying the various solar panel fields and installation in Israel into an
integrated centrally controlled distributed electrical energy system which will contain electrical
energy storage (via batteries or other means) to be extended also to residential location within a;
 “CCC” system regulating the electrical grid power as an additional electrical “backbone”
supply system to the existing electrical network
 adaptation of electrical network controllers for solar panels to the electrical grid
 gravitational non-water energy storage adapted to Israel topography,
 the “CCC” system regulating the electrical grid power as an additional electrical “back
bone” supply system to existing electrical network
 adaptation of electrical network controllers for solar panels to electrical grid
 gravitational non-water energy storage adapted to Israel topography,
 special purpose sensor on electrical network transformer monitoring the hysteresis curve
and initiate additional power, by removing the transformer load and by this prolonging to
over 50 years, the usefulness of the main electrical network transformer
 night lighting based on the human eye retina structure and required spectral vision,
 LLC resonant transformers and magnetic resonance electrical power transfer to deliver a
range of power over distance to charge batteries (this is a resurrection of a project I
initiated at the time at Tadiran Electronics)
 Various solution of Micro-Grids for; academic campuses, kibbutzim and moshavim etc.,
 Electrical energy storage facilities based on latent heat in conjunction with combined cycle
power plants.
 The use of water reservoirs for solar panels farms, to reduces the 1800 mm water
evaporations in Israel and cooling the panels, by this increasing efficiency by 20% to 25%
 Some of the innovative subsystems are posted on my “LinkedIn” page

An Expert on matters of Energy, Renewable Energy,

Involved in establishing renewable energy projects at Russian ministerial level which will
encompass using forestry / woody waste with corporation like “ILIM/IP”, “Basic Element” of
Deripaska and cultivating energy crops in Central /Eastern Siberia as soil enhancement/fertilizer
for agricultural use in the first stage and as a follow up designing, investing and operate vertically
integrated multiple processing facilities of forestry/woody waste, anaerobic digester, algae and
water cultures as substitute of farm animal protein feeds and later high value raw material for the
petrochemical industry. The project status at the moment is waiting for the lifting of sanctions and
supply contracts and delivery for 5 to 10 years. This proposed project has the support of the
Governor of Irkutsk and generated interest within the Office of the Russian President.
Designed and proposed a Biomass Project for Eastern Europe of growing Energy grasses for use in
coal fired utilities. The proposal was presented to Ukraine Donetsk Oblast, Bulgaria and Romania
at ministerial levels received invitation for presentation before the respectable state/oblast
renewable energy/ecological committees. Due to the 2008/9 economic crisis the project stalled.
Initiated and was involved in the proposal for the 500 MWe power station in the Negev to supply
Israel and Jordanian Dead Sea Works, based on locally available shale oil by assisting a US based
company with the support of US Guaranties through OPIC, at the recommendation of Senior US
State Department officials. In Israel former MK Otniel Schneller was actively working with the
Jordanian counter parties (and also discussed the project with the blessing of (the then) Israel
G.M. Ministry of Finance Yossi Bachar). After receiving the assignment at the time, I managed to
formulate a structure that was attractive to investors, and able to secure OPIC funding, and
possible US Guaranties. I was referred by Senior Partners at Arthur Andersen NY office to Israel
several partners at Luboshitz Kasierer (by now E&Y) who were/are familiar with my work.
Past experience, mostly in the US,
Some background - during my 18 years in the US, I was involved in; financing mid-sized businesses
($10 to $350 million), assisted banks to dispose of non-performing loans and other various
turnaround and distressed situation, structured DIP sale lease back transaction and financing of
overseas projects. During that period I developed a wide network of contacts from law firms to
the "former Big Six" and smaller accounting firms who referred business and also Hedge Funds
with assets under management of $300 to over $3,000 million.
My extensive experience in financial markets and structured debt placement and derivatives
hedging can have a positive contribution to the company bottom line. If interested, I could
