Earth resistivity meter part 1b [robert beck]Naoveck Stark
This 3 page article discusses building a simple audio amplifier circuit that can be powered by a 9V battery. It provides a detailed circuit diagram and instructions on selecting and connecting the components which include a transistor, resistors, capacitors and other basic electronic parts. The completed amplifier circuit is able to power a small speaker and amplify audio signals from a microphone or other audio source for listening or recording purposes.
This document describes three methods for surveying underground structures: seismic shock, self-potential, and resistivity profiling. It then focuses on describing a simple resistivity profiler the author built to locate things like water tables over 100 feet below the surface using just two probes. The profiler works by passing an AC current between the probes and measuring the resistance at different depths to identify changes corresponding to underground features.
This document provides a parts list and repair manual for a Maytag washer model number MAV3955EWW. It contains 48 sections that list all parts by number, part number, description, and quantity for each component. The sections cover the control panel, cabinet, inner and outer tub, transmission, base, motor, and supplemental information. The summary provides essential technical specifications and organization of the repair manual.

Earth resistivity meter part 1a [robert beck]Naoveck Stark
This article discusses various electronics projects suitable for beginners, including building a simple radio receiver and an electronic dice. Instructions and diagrams are provided to help novice hobbyists construct the basic circuits and understand fundamental electronics concepts.
Earth resistivity meter part 2 [john m. stanley]Naoveck Stark
An earth resistivity meter can be used to locate buried objects by detecting changes in earth composition and resistivity at varying depths. The document describes how to construct a simple, low-cost resistivity meter using inexpensive meters. Standard curves allow the user to determine layer depths and compositions by measuring resistivity at increasing electrode separations and matching readings to the curves.
Low-Cost Groundwater Detection - Science Hack Day 2014Anita Hart
The team’s intent was to develop a low-cost, prototype that could replicate an expensive geophysical system for groundwater detection. This was accomplished by wiring an Arduino into a volt meter to provide continuous data logging of ground voltage. This voltage was induced by 2 electrodes stuck in the ground and wired to a 9-volt battery. Potential applications include citizen-science groundwater measurement & monitoring or reducing the risk of drilling wells.

This document describes an electronic device called an Earth Resistivity Logger that is used to help locate archaeological sites. It does this by sending an alternating current into the ground at 137Hz and measuring the resistance of the soil in different locations, which can reveal underground structures. The document discusses how the device works, including using multiple probe configurations to take readings. It also describes the microcontroller-based electronics and software that control data collection and analysis.
