• Shading properties of fur change as fibers are raised or

• Using airborne ultrasonic focused display (AUFD)
– Can be placed vertically
– Ability to re-write patterns automatically
– Adaptable to long fur
Principle
• Two AUFDs are placed face to face.
• AUFDs are used to raise and flatten fur fibers by projecting
pressure from opposing angles

• One child created a story integrating a picture with

• Explore the reflectance model (BRDF) on fur surfaces
