about the new release

I AIN'T NO AI
As a long-time SAG-AFTRA member, I wrote, arranged, produced and performed, "I AIN'T NO AI" to depict the struggles of SAG actors in this current historic strike, as our struggles relate to the usage of actors and artificial intelligence (AI).
We should be able to "OWN" ourselves.
My parents were both union members / laborers, and it's through the collective bargaining of strong union leaders that they earned good wages that allowed us (me) to live a solid, middle-class life. That life included a brand new home; me with my own room, and a brand new car for the kids when we became teens.
At age 19, I worked a summer in a union shop; a textile mill, before transferring to a big city university.
This country was built off of the backbreaking work of labor. Unions are the backbone of fair labor practices and actors are the backbone of entertainment.
If you've e-v-e-r benefited from the negotiations of SAG union leaders and its members walking picket lines ... STAND IN SOLIDARITY!
With this song, I HONOR YOU.
Listen to "I AIN'T NO AI" on ALL streaming, worldwide platforms.
"I don’t know what you filled with and I don’t really care
I just know one thing Bubba, you better go somewhere
You can’t live here rent free, putting your demons on me
All I know is one thing, stop terrorizing me"

Temperance Lancecouncil is a multidimensional talent based out of Los Angeles, California, who has not only channeled her passion for music into a burgeoning career as a recording artist, but she also fashions herself as a blossoming actress, journalist, social political commentator and comedienne.
The dynamic singer-songwriter has crafted a substantial catalog of singles brandishing her soulful country music stylings, including the critically acclaimed effort of 2020, “Globally We Sing; Erase 19“, a momentous, uplifting song and composition aimed at unifying the masses across the world in response to the devastation reaped by the pandemic.
Today we’re spotlighting the latest single release by Temperance titled “My Restraining Order (Won’t Do)”, a fascinating song and cautionary tale touching on a toxic, abusive relationship in which the offending party, refuses to move on or see the error of their ways.
This song takes on a personal significance for Temperance as it was inspired by circumstances in her life that are “one-hundred percent true and accurate”. The writing of this track actually proved to be a therapeutic form of expression for her, and she expertly conveys such emotions in her dazzling vocal performance.
Temperance’s emotive vocal delivery stands out with her signature rich, engaging tones and inflections. She presents a mystique over the song that completely envelops you into the story as she sings along in a defiant, progressive manner, talking directly to incorrigible man who is at the focal point of this track. Her presentation is country to the core, but also has undertones of blues and jazz…. extremely versatile performer.
Will Temperance Lancecouncil be the Opening Act™ at Audacy's (formerly Radio.com) annual concert at the Hollywood Bowl? NO - But she placed respectably in 26th place! NOT BAD!

“TEMPERANCE LANCE-COUNCIL, A LOCAL ACTIVIST IN LOS ANGELES, FORMED THE ANTI-HYPOCRISY PARTY LAST YEAR AS A PROTEST AGAINST WHAT SHE CALLED THE ARROGANCE OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS.”
— Michael Panofsky, The New York Times
Temperance Lancecouncil, the song’s lyricist and musical arranger says, “The song encapsulates the unified spirit of hope, global cohesiveness, and the brainpower needed to eradicate the global pandemic. Music brings the world together, and this is a global and symbolic representation of those intersections.”
As with other social, civic and world-inspiring anthems like “We Are The World” and “That’s What Friends Are For,” Lancecouncil explains that the world needs a unifying anthem to uplift and inspire, while bringing nations together, and this song does that. It’s sort of a musical umbrella for all nations to fall under during these very difficult times.
“All of this is beyond heartbreaking for all citizens of the global tribe of humanity.” The California-based lyricist continues: “We can blame, rightly or wrongly so, but the only thing that will truly help is every scientist, virologists and genius medical experts coming together under the umbrella for a cure. This song symbolizes that united umbrella.”
Country-soul singer, Temperance Lancecouncil’s global anthem, “Globally We Sing; Erase19,” is continually striding on it’s “musical healing path” around the world.
Describing herself as a “chocolate blonde,” country-soul singer, Temperance Lancecouncil is ecstatic that her compassionately penned, global anthem is doing exactly what she wanted it to do — create some musical healing around the world.
The song is being played from India to Switzerland to Africa and San Diego, California — and she couldn’t be more satisfied that the song is receiving such worldwide acclaim and positive feedback.
She says she wanted to make a song of unity, hope and solidarity for all “global citizens,” and the praise and acceptance of the song from so many people around the world has brought her tears of joy.
She’s definitely come to understand that she has touched the hearts of her fellow global citizens.
The song starts with the lyrics, “I want the world to sing with me.”
The entire set of lyrics can be found on Google.
IG4 Music, a publication in India says: “One of the most promising and surprising tracks of 2021 is by far “Globally We Sing; Erase 19” by Temperance Lancecouncil...We loved the experimental RnB sounds, the soulful atmosphere, and the Country hits.”
Temperance Lancecouncil Releases Globally We Sing; Erase 19
“Globally We Sing; Erase 19,” the mission-driven, global anthem starts with Lancecouncil, a former actress and television pundit, asking the world to sing along with her. She explains: “It’s because I want every global citizen to be able to mouth or sign those words, because we are on this mission together. A mission that’s comparable to a Star Trek or Twilight Zone episode, with our science and medical health warriors on the front-lines, battling the enemy invader.” That’s precisely why it’s being dedicated to them, and being tagged as the definitive, global anthem. “It takes a village, as the saying goes. I felt emotionally propelled to pen it and sing it in the soulful way that I did, but it’s a universal, non-partisan, song of unity, hope and solidarity. I wrote it for the global domain,” explains Lancecouncil, one of a few women of color in country music. ###

She's also been labeled as 'country music's chocolate blonde.' She opines with a huge grin that "chocolate blondes are no longer rare." She ends by jubilantly saying how honored she'd be if the anthem were played at a Nobel Prize ceremony, when they start awarding prizes to the “virus-killers.”

Temperance Lancecouncil is a singer-songwriter in Los Angeles, California, who hails from the Carolina/Virginia line. Having overcome two bouts of life-threatening, double pneumonia as an infant, by age three, she'd begun singing and dancing with her mother, who taught her three-part harmony. The words “quadruple threat” have been used to describe her; as she sings, dances, acts and is a media broadcaster.
Nevertheless, she says her country-soul style of expressing herself best describes who she really is, and she swears that even after big signing deals, awards and accolades, she'll always be humble, like her momma raised her.
What makes her country is that she grew up in a Southern, small-town, loving the music of artists like Dolly Parton and Glen Campbell; and couldn't get enough of the show, “Hee Haw,” a country music, variety, TV show.
What makes her soulful is her deep, raw, passionate-stirring, vocal style. She counts soul, singer James Brown, as the performer most inspirational to her to creativity. Her music is nitty-gritty, just like her real life has been, and her songs are all truth-inspired.
Her first year of college was at a rural, Christian school in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, where students were given Bibles at orientation. She sang in the school's annual pageant and placed in the top three. After the movie, “Sunset Boulevard,” “Coal Miner's Daughter” places second in her all-time favorites.
She's the best COUNTRY-SOUL singer in the country, if not the world. She sings it like she feels it, phrases it with soul, all the while adding her Southern, soul, gospel flavor

Describe your music?
Country-soul with no-frills, rough and nitty-gritty; just like my real life, which has been kind of rough. I really don't want my music to sound perfect or “pretty,” because my life hasn't been either. My music represents my turmoil, strife and struggle.
