What is Hootsuite?
A social media management tool that allows you to
automate social media content, follow multiple social
media platforms, as well as engage with followers and
team members all through a single dashboard!
You can manage the following networks…
Wordpress.com:
• Blogs
Google+:
• Pages
Facebook:
• Profiles, pages, and groups
Instagram:
• Profiles
YouTube:
• Channels
Twitter:
• Profiles
LinkedIn:
• Profiles and company pages
• As of June 2017,
Groups was eliminated
Choose from a variety of payment plans
Getting a Hootsuite account
1. Visit www.hootsuite.com and either click CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT BY EMAIL
2. Select your plan – its recommended to use Free if you are just testing it out
3. Enter your name, email and password and….ta-da!
Connecting a social media account
Click the Launch Menu.
Click + Add a Social
Network button.
A pop-up window appears.
Select the social network
you want to add. Then
Click on Connect
with…button.

Your Twitter account is now
added!!!!
Setting up tabs
If you are
managing multiple
accounts, name them
by highlighting the
stream name and
re-naming it.
Once you set up a tab, you can set up your streams!

By adding a geocode to your
stream with a specific word
(i.e. internship, job, hiring,
etc) you can now target
specific conversations

set mile radius and see it

options for you to manually schedule or auto-scheduling mass posts.
While it wonderful to schedule a single message in one post across all social networks,
its recommended to scatter them so the same post isn’t seen at the same time across all
networks.
