### Editor's Notes

1. The traditional classroom: T delivers lesson to S, S go home to do homework alone, next day a few questions might be asked. Teacher is at the center, T responsible for learning.
2. But so many things were mismatched – the amount of time spent delivering the lesson was either too little or too much for most S.
3. When the work was being done, the T and the S were not in the same place
4. And when they were in the same place, there wasn’t enough time for one teacher to answer everyone’s questions. But in the flipped class…..

6. ….thanks to technology, we can shift the outer circle
7. So that people, places, and times are much better aligned
8. S can take as long or as little time as they need to watch a lesson
9. Homework done in class, (can’t call it homework anymore) while the teacher is there
10. ….to answer questions, offer help, and do jit teaching
11. Now all this time is available for
12. Everyone to learn together
13. And the line between T and S
14. Gets blurred as students take more responsibility for their own learning, and teacher becomes lead learner
15. T is no longer at the centre, T can now be guide on the side as students collaborate on work
16. …..both T and S can offer individual help to other students
17. And the entire cycle is student-centered
