Value Analysis Of Boeing
Boeing 787 Dreamliner Boeing is a global company that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes.
It is amongst the largest aerospace companies that manufacturers commercial jetliners and is second
largest defense contractor. Boeing is also a leader manufacturer in space and security systems.
Boeing began in Seattle, WA in 1910 and now their headquarters are in Chicago, IL and is the
largest exporter in the United States. The Boeing Company adopted the radical change approach
because they were trying to accelerate development time and reduce overall costs. Boeing actively
embraced outsourcing to their supply chain that involved over 40 suppliers in about 100 different
locations around the world. According to Forbes Magazine, The approach was intended to reduce
the 787 s development time from six to four years and development cost from $10 to $6 billion.
In the 1990 s the company Airbus started stealing market share from Boeing. Boeing responded by
innovating their products using value analysis. According to Professor Todd s chapter four slide 12,
value analysis is the examination of the function of parts and materials to reduce the cost and/or
improve the performance of a product. Boeing has traditionally used aluminum for their airplanes,
but changed their 787 to carbon fiber, aluminum, and titanium. This allowed for increased humidity
and maintained pressure within the cabin; which also would reduce maintenance and replacement
costs (Denning, 2013). This makes the

How Did Netflix Pursue Movie Studios
Netflix could pursue movie studios if it can build up a higher number of customers who are
watching their exclusive shows. The con to a movie studio is the fact that there will be various
expenses which could result in removing part of their customers who enjoy the low 7.99 rate.
Therefore Netflix would become something that it is trying to compete against which is the
bigger cable providers. An avenue that Netflix is best suited for is creating original shows, and
movies such as House of Cards. For Netflix to take the next step it has to create at least one more
show that has a national audience such as the type of numbers that Breaking Bad, or Walking
Dead has. This would pave the way for them to create more of a fan base, and allow them

Thucydides Summary
There is little doubt that Thucydides is regarded as one of the best historical writers for coming up
with his book, presenting facts and truth about the war even though he was a general in the Athens
army. By using a unique style of writing, the author was attempting a unique style which involved
being aggressively rational and giving an impersonal analysis of the historyof his times being free
from religious influence.
The style used in writing the book is different because the author makes the war to be understood in
respect to human politics and power struggles that were taking place between the two warring
factions; Athens and Sparta. The style of writing is different from how Herodotus had explained the
Greek war against the Persians, putting too much emphasis on the religious side of the war.
Thucydides tries to be different by describing the human factors which made the Athens side to lose
the war. He points that Athens was more concerned about expanding than winning the war and that
most of its generals defected after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author advocated the theme of realism by illustrating how small cities such as Melian would
have benefited had they joined the Athenians. He notes that the cities were destroyed because they
were not realistic about their situation hence they would not have stood against the Athenians.
Throughout the book, Thucydides shows the difference in his works by using economics and
politics as the two main factors which used to determine wars at that time. Such a move was sin
contrast with how historians used to portray wars at that time. Historians usually used gods and
their influence to explain army victories but Thucydides explains that the cities with the most
money and a centralized system of government used to win such wars. For instance, the author
explains that Athens had many armies and was powerful in the sea, thus having an advantage over

Essay on American Education in the 1800 s
American Education in the 1800 s
In the early 1800 s education in America grew and developed rapidly, largely because of the works
of three very important men: Noah Webster, William McGuffey, and Horace Mann. These three
men were catalysts for the growth of education throughout the nineteenth century, and without them
the large strides America took during this time would not have occurred. These great men all shared
one goal: to educate the youth of America as well as possible. This was no small task, however,
because the educational system in place was disorganized and had several large problems that had
to be overcome.
The task of correcting the many problems that faced education in the early 1800 s required the
genius of many men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book was such a success that it was used in classrooms for almost one hundred years
(www.ctstateu.edu). Noah Webster s greatest accomplishment was writing the first truly American
dictionary. The book took more than 27 years to complete, and among the nearly 70,000 words
featured in it were truly American words, such as skunk and chowder (www.christianlaw.com). This
book was the work of a lifetime for Webster, and his name is now nearly synonymous with any
modern American dictionary.
Another great contributor to the spread of American educational tools was William McGuffey,
author of the widely spread series, Peerless Pioneer Readers. This series of writings was used in
every state of the Union and had a very obvious effect on students in American schools
(lib.muohio.edu). Along with creating such influential educational tools, McGuffey also taught at
several prestigious institutions of higher learning, such as Ohio University and Miami University
(www.hfmgv.org). With such a widespread influence caused by not only his educational series but
his teaching across the Midwest, it s no surprise that McGuffey is considered one of the instigators
of the rapid improvement of the educational system in America.
The man with the greatest effect on the government s relationship with schools is Horace Mann.
Often called the Father of American Education, Horace Mann wasn t

Comparing Satire In Saturday Night Live And The Late Show
Political Satire: Both Amusing and Informative
Political satire is the use of humor, sarcasm, or ridicule to criticize politician s vices. Most satire
today is political. Comedians have become our truth tellers. When it comes to politics, news and
satire go together like peanut butter and jelly. Shows including: NBC s Saturday Night Live and
CBS s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert showcase political satire the best of them all. The main
questions are: does satire relay new well and does satire make for a reliable news source?
Stephen Colbert is known to be the king of satire. His late night show is popular for his use of
satire to convey the news. He is so good at his satire that people on all sides of the political debate
find him funny. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Humor is a big part of my life, and I find what is life without a good laugh. I have watched both
Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I find them both very funny and I
did learn some things from watching them. I find normal news to be lacking enjoyment. They are
frankly boring.
Satire requires a lot of interpretation. No one quite has the same opinions on what is trying to
be conveyed by such satire. Some people think satire is rude and crosses the line. For others, it
is easier to comprehend more serious political topics when humor is involved. Satire can be
helpful to some in the transmission of information. I agree completely with this. Humor helps
grab the attention of viewers and make the experience more enjoyable. I find it easier to watch the
SNL skits mocking the debate over the real deal. Yes, they may be making fun of people, but I
unapologetically find that funny. In my opinion there is a reason these people are victims of satire.
Whether it is political or just plain old satire, comicality adds a lot to new segments. There is not
one person who doesn t enjoy a good laugh. Satire allows people to both receive the news and
laugh at the same time. It is like the best of both worlds. Comedians may have become our truth
tellers, but I m not complaining. I like the way satire and news mesh

How Did Buddy Holly Influence Popular Music
Even Though Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly are both singer/song writers, their journeys have taken
them down completely different paths. One has had a long career in the industry and the other has
unfortunately has had a short career. Both have had wonderful and successful lives and are still
well known for what they accomplished with their music. Buddy Hollyplayed rock n roll for a few
short year but the music he recorded in that time has made a major and forever lasting impact on
popular music. Not only did he write his own music, but he was also the first to exploit advanced
studio techniques such as double tracking, (rockhall.com). Bob Dylanon the other hand is a
recognized poet laureate of the rock n roll era and the pre eminent singer/songwriter of modern
times. No matter if he is singing topical folk songs, exploring rootsy rock and blues, or delivering
one of his abstract, allegorical compositions, he is always demonstrating a rare ability to reach
listeners with his lyrics, (rockhall.com).
Buddy Holly was born on September 7th, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas. His birth name was Charles
Hardin Holley, he is the youngest out of four children. He got the name Buddy from his mother,
who felt his birth name was too big for a young boy. Holly learned to play the piano and the fiddle
when he was pretty young, and his brothers taught him how to play the guitar. After Buddy
graduated High School, he formed a band that played country and western songs on the radio. He

Essay On French Withdrawal From Indochina
Writer Virginia Thompson quoted, If France had not been victorious in the (First) World War it
is no exaggeration to say that she would never have been able to keep Indo China. It is also no
exaggeration to say that France s disastrous defeats in the early part of World War II were to be a
major factor in France s ultimate loss of its Indochinese colonies of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
Various reasons account for the withdrawal of the French from Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, and
Cambodia) by 1954. Since the start of the French Colonization of Indochina around 1893, tension
was present in both parties which was only deepened by the series of occurrences and notions that
followed. The result of WWII caused France to be significantly weakened, specifically the economy
and the country as a whole. This led to the abandonment of the French from the Southeast Asian
countries, for it eventually... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ho Chi Minh (Prime Minister and Revolutionary leader of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam)
and the communist group he established, the Viet Minh , were very instrumental regarding the

Indochina and underwent various obstacles and took actions to ensure France s abandonment of
the colonies. The first Indochina war was a key turning point of French colonization of Indochina.
The newly modern military tactics like Guerrilla warfare destabilized the French s army and
flipped the odds for the Indochinese civilians and nationalists. Particularly, the battle of Dien Bien

St Luke s And The London Ambulance Service
When a terminally ill patient deteriorates in health, their next of kin or carer has access to care
plans and palliative care nurses for advice. However, they may not know what to do, may not fully
understand what to expect or may not fully grasp the situation, thus a 999 emergency call is often
placed to the ambulance service.
As an apprentice paramedic, I aim to take out of ambulance placements in areas of healthcare I feel
I will benefit from. One area of healthcare I self identified as having less confidence in is end of life
and palliative care, so sought the help of my Clinical Team Leader in organising a placement at St

I began my placement in the In Patient Unit (IPU), shadowing the clinical ward manager and
nurses, as well as accompanying the consultant on ward rounds.
Ambulance clinicians often do not know their patients, so to observe a patient discussing their
treatment allowed me to gain a deeper insight into their feelings and wishes behind their decision.
This was eloquently expressed with ...there s no point being alive if you don t feel you are by a
particular patient in regards to their pain relief regime.
By spending time in IPU, I hoped to gain a better understanding of the process of death from
recognising the final hours of life, death, and communicating with the family. A patient was
identified to me by the consultant on ward rounds as approaching death. I was asked to observe the
signs from the patient, so these could be discussed with the doctor in depth. Some of the signs
identified were a cachexic appearance, terminal agitation, Cheyne stokes respiration and reduced
alertness. Over the next few hours the patient was monitored closely until they died that afternoon.
Before the patient died, I was also able to sit in on the consultation

Iago Character Analysis
William Shakespeare was born in 1564. Very little is known about his personal life but he is one
of the most well known authors in history. One of his famous works is Othello. There are many
key characters in the play but there is one that plays a major key role in what happens and that is
Iago. He is a supposed to be Othellos best friend but as the play goes on, his true colors begin to
show. No other character can even come close to his evil. Most of the characters in the play have a
reason for what they do. Iagolies and manipulates the characters of the play because he is a very
ruthless man.
Shakespeare does a very good job in showing what kind of person Iago is right from the
beginning of the play. The reader begins to realize this before any of the characters in the play
do. I believe he did this so the reader will begin to see how evil Iago is yet how unjustified his
reasoning is. Iago is the main reason there is conflict in Othello. I feel as if he had not entered
the play Othello would have married Desdemona and they would have lived happily ever after.
Right from the beginning of the play to the very end he causes conflicts. He is responsible for the
deaths of Othello, Desdemona, Emilia, Cassio, and Roderigo. Which happen to all be the main
characters. All the problems he causes are through lies, manipulation, and a deep unknown hate.
Some of his hate is fueled by jealousy and revenge. The ironic part is that he wants to be known as
honest Iago . Every act

Together, Canada and the United States, on behalf of the Allies, made military contributions in
the Second World War, albeit with varying results. Canada had declared war on the Axis Powers
only a week after Great Britain and France had made their declarations. The war continued on,
and Axis victory was being averted by sheer Allied bravery, even though Britain was near to
collapse and France and the rest of Europe had long fallen. Allied victory seemed impossible, until
the United States entered the war in December 1941. It was a turnaround and a triumph of
American material and logistics superiority. Canadian contributions were not as decisive, yet helped

Canadian involvement in the Second World War was largely self gratifying, in a way, as it began
to develop a huge war industry of aircraft, military vehicles and cargo carriers production, most of
which went to Britain, which kept its factories working, which spurred them to keep alive their
interest in helping to win the war. The major contribution by the Canadians was the usage of the
Corvettes that acted as escorts for supply ships on the way to Britain. Without these supplies, D
Day would never have happened. These military skirmishes and actions kept the war alive, but did
not initiate any significant results on their own; however they were a pivotal support force.
America s late entry into the war was made up with its efficient and strategic fighting in battles,
which ended the Second World War. Most of American military contributions in Europe were in
collaboration with troops from other Allied nations, such as the Italian Campaign, D Day landings
(under American General D. Eisenhower) and the Battle of the Bulge. Starting from the West,
Allied forces moved further eastwards, with the United States leading from the front, while Soviet
forces attacked westwards, trapping Berlin. Hitler committed suicide, Nazi Germany was in
disarray, and the war in Europe was won. It was a victory for American

Social Darwinism In The Gilded Age
Social Darwinism was applied to the country during the Gilded Age which was named after it,
due to Darwin s theory of survival of the fittest. Social Darwinism was the way they classified this
time of period because it closely resembled Darwin s theory of natural selection and was used to
justify political conservatism, imperialism, and racism and to discourage intervention and reform.
Social Darwinismbegan in the late 19th century and early 20th century during the time of The
Gilded Age and earlier. Herbert Spencer was a 19th century philosopher and he promoted the idea
of Social Darwinism. It basically followed the principle that only the strong would survive and

The Theory Of Self Defense
Self defense is described in the dictionary as; the act of defending one s person when physically
attacked, as by countering blows or overcoming an assailant ( self defense, n.d.). The concept of
self defense appears well defined; however, the tactics allowed to protect oneself have evolved just
as America has. As technology and weaponry advance, the need for clearer laws pertaining to the
actions allowed by an individualneed to be reevaluated and clearly communicated. Starting in early
colonial times and moving through history, there is a great deal of differences between the self
defense that was once permitted and what is acceptable and tolerated today.
In early colonial times, Europeans began settling in America. During this time, there was a need
for self defense from both the Native Americans who were already settled on the new land and
from the European invaders who wanted to take it over. Self defense was originally termed the
first law of nature, and citizens were allowed to use deadly force whenever they judged it
necessary. This practice of self defense existed during a time where the individual was considered
the ... judge, jury, and executioner (Cornell, 2013). While being attacked, an individual was
allowed to determine the course of action he or she could take to protect himself or herself
whether it be retreating or killing the perpetrator. During this time, items such as one s own hands,
bow and arrows, knives, and weapons of that sort were used

leadership and answered based on describing co workers they have dealt with based in

where they think they place in the categories. (Robbins, Stephen P., Judge, Timothy A. 2011).
Another popular and extensively used tests are the Myer Briggs Type Indicator test. The Myers
Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is by far the most widely used and studied psychological test today,
with over three million people a year completing the assessment instrument (Gardner Martinko,
1996;Offermann Spiros, 2001). The MBTI test has been used for learning and development in
organizations, academic purposes, decision making, management, leadership, or simply identifying
one s personality to give guidance in career choices, (James, Michael. 2003,Gardner Martinko,

How Advertising Affects The World Wide Web Essay
I will now introduce an extension that individuals can install on their browsers to hide all of the
banners and advertisements when they are navigating the World Wide Web. When an individual is
navigating the web they will see advertisements that might catch their attention and the user might
click on it, taking them to another site that might have malware or virus on them. This site may also
install something on their computerwithout them noticing. This will also block those pop ups
that show when you are navigating on a certain website and you won t have to worry about
something showing up that you don t want to see. Another positive thing that Ad Blockers do is
that they will block all of the advertisements from videos. Blocking advertisements will have the
websites you are visiting look cleaner by removing all of the items that shouldn t be on there. The
websites that you are visiting will also load quicker because it isn t reading the scripts of the
advertisements.

Roller Coaster Descriptive Essay
It was a beautiful, sunny day in the middle of August. The sun was just rising as we prepared to
embark on our journey to King s Island. My family of five packed into the car, full of excitement
and giddiness. It was a two hour trip but we beamed the whole way. It was my sister and I s first
time on a roller coaster! Previously, we had researched videos of every single coaster at the park.
We were very prepared. My family gazed at the oncoming road, our path to happiness. Finally,
we arrived in the parking lot, absolutely swarming with cars. Every one of us ran to the gate and
gave the attendant our tickets. Free at last! The symbol for me was a rollercoaster which, to me,
represents courage. At this point we were in the park and ready to explore. Before going on any
roller coasters we got a park map and found the tallest coaster. The Diamondback. My family
raced over and to my surprise, the line was incredibly short! So we got on The Diamondback and
started going up the hill. It was the tallest rollercoaster in the park and you could see everything
in King s Island. So after that we got off and walked to the coaster we ve all been waiting for.

Pros and Cons of the Equal Rights Amendment Essay
Pros and Cons of the Equal Rights Amendment
The Equal Rights Amendment began its earliest discussions in 1920. These discussions took place
immediately after two thirds of the states approved women s suffrage. The nineteenth century was
intertwined with several feminist movements such as abortion, temperance, birth control and
equality. Many lobbyists and political education groups formed in these times. One such
organization is the Eagle Forum, who claims to lead the pro family movement. On the opposite side

Some supporters say that because women s salaries still lag behind men, we need an Equal Rights

Political Impact On The Evolution Of Christianity
The evolution of Christianity has been a process that has taken thousands of years. Wars, laws, and
councils are all been results of this process. When one thinks of the evolution of Christianity,
politics typically do not come to mind. Surprisingly politics have had a large impact on the
evolution of Christianity. In some cases, the impact is so big, it determined the survival of
Christianity. Politics influenced Christian society when Pontius Pilate falsely accused Jesusof
treason, Emperor Constantine made Christianity legal in the Roman Empire, and the Council of
Chalcedon confirmed Jesus was God. One political event that influenced Christian society is
when Roman Prefect Pontius Pilate accused Jesus of treason. Pontius Pilate accused Jesus of
treason because himself, and other leaders of the Roman Empire felt threatened by Jesus (
Pontius Pilate Biography 2014). These leaders felt threatened by Jesus because he preached to
follow and worship only the Christian God, and no others. This was very threatening to leaders
of the Roman Empire like Pontius Pilate because they worried Christians would not obey their
orders, and8 when they tried to reinforce them the Christians would revolt. Since Pontius Pilate
was a Roman Prefect he had the authority to order the execution of a criminal, so to end his fear
he falsely claimed that Jesus told him he was the King of the Jews ( Pontius Pilate Biography
2014). This results in Jesus being convicted of treason, so Pontius Pilate

The White Privilege Of Education

Black people would not be able to eradicate the dire dilemma slavery put them in. Thus, that was
the sole reason this particular White Privilege has been unanimously withheld from Blacks for
almost their entire existence in the United States. It was not until 1968 when the doors were swung
open and school segregation was determined unlawful in all schools across the US (tolerance.org)

racism, which she eludes to in the article, then she would have pondered the White Privilege of
education and she would have listed the lack education has been for centuries for Black people
among her White Privileges. She would have even, highlighted such an important White Privilege.
Yet most of the White Privileges Ms. Macintosh listed were blasГ©, at most. And as many years
since Ms. Macintosh wrote the article, White Privilege, it boggles the mind that people consider it
so profound that it is still being, today, in schools, colleges, and universities to discuss racism in the
US.

Since these care givers are the first people that a child interacts with, and are often the primary
interaction for a child until the beginning of school, they are inherently the sole role model for a
child. Children often collect the same mannerisms, behavioral complexes, and may even vote in
the same way that their initial care givers have voted. By this logic, if a child grows up in a
household with the aforementioned helicopter parents, they are likely to treat their offspring in the

The erosion of social hierarchy causing a dawn of class issue and inequality amongst different

Description Of Key Theories And Ideas Essay
Description of Key Theories and Ideas Motivation During his lifetime, Abraham Maslow s work
revolved around studying motivation and needs. He was the creator of the theory of
motivation. This theory was originated off of the idea of having self actualizing needs that have
to be fulfilled. There is a difference in classification of these needs, with there being lower and
higher needs. This difference created what is known as the hierarchy of needs (Sheehy,
Chapman, Conroy, 1997; Wilson, 1972). These include physiological, safety, belongingness and
love, esteem, self actualization holistic dynamic theory (Dobbert Mackey, 2015; Maslow, 1971;
Sheehy, Chapman, Conroy, 1997). The lowest needs have to be satisfied to reach the higher
needs (Sheehy, Chapman, Conroy, 1997). These lower needs are known as basic needs, and
they are what drive humans to self actualize (Dobbert Mackey, 2015; Wilson, 1972). The first of
these lower needs is physiological needs, such as hunger and thirst. Next is safety needs, or
desire to feel secure and free from harm. After comes love needs, which are also known as
belongingness needs. These needs are met when one feels as though they have people who need
them. Next, esteem needs are fulfilled when they are able to gain a satisfying image of themselves.
Finally, the last need is self actualization, or the desire to reach one s fullest capacity in life
(Sheehy, Chapman, Conroy, 1997; Taormina Gao, 2013; Wilson, 1972). Satisfying the

of strength and courage. The line, I m stone, translates to I m strong or I m brave. In the line,

the stone or bravery is no longer weighing on the author. In other words, the author no longer

Why Drawing Is Drawing
A person can have many skills, whether it be good or bad. Someone could paint really well or
could be a disastrous cook. There are many common skills such as doing underwater handstands
and then there are skills that are absolutely out of the blue, for example bending their index finger
backwards down the wrist. My skillisn t too common though it isn t very unique either. My skill
isn t painting or cooking, or even having strangely, stretchy fingers. My skill is drawing. Drawing is
one of my passions, because it is a good stress reliever and it can help express emotion. Drawing
is very useful for when I m upset and need something to boost my moralemood and is comforting
for just a normal, rainy day activity. I especially draw especially when I m bored or trying to pass
time. Some people agree, and find drawing fun, but others may find it frustrating or boring. I enjoy
drawing because it lets me work at my own pace. I casually sketch, whether it be for a novel or just
a plain doodle, I find a way to maneuver it into random pieces of work. I could be working on
notes, and sooner or later have a mural on the sides of the paper. This is funny considering that
when I get an actual sketching pad, the sketches look horrible, but on a sheet of scratched up...

in mono, but that gives me a chance to make the tiny details in the drawing a lot bigger. Drawing
may come as a gifted skill to some people where they can draw perfectly when a pencil is given to
them, but I find it hard to believe that without practice, a magnificent piece of art can be

Electronic Devices Are Fragile And Contain Important Data
Final Project. Because electronic devices are fragile and contain important data, it is important
to respect the following procedure when handling them and preparing them for lab observation:
1 I must first follow the right procedure before proceeding to the packaging which is to properly
document the USB disk by taking pictures to verify or enforce its authenticity, then I ll have to
label it properly which is another way to authenticate it later on, if I need someone else to
retrieve it at the lab, or for easy reconfiguration. Let s not forget the imaging of biological
evidence (like hair, tissue, blood, teeth, etc.) before it gets further analyzed. 2 The packaging can
then be done in antistatic packaging, like paper bags, envelopes, cardboard boxes, or antistatic
containers for the fact that they reduce the production of humidity or static electricity. Since we
are dealing with a small device we will use an envelope for packaging. Furthermore, the packaging
should be done in a way that the item will not bend or be deformed. 3 The last step should be to
label the package with my name, date of packaging, name of item followed by a small description
(for instance, white and blue USB flash disk) and reference pertaining to the case ( for instance,
MR Yourprop E0012) * I would ask the lab to look at possible damage or scratches on the device.

The Success Of The Company Braun And Sony Two Companies...
To change the way a nation perceives an idea is remarkable. To change the worlds idea of how
one would accomplish a task is a feat only relatable to the end of a war. But to change a product
line forever, to change the way a certain product was produced, to change how people went about
designing this product, interacting with this product, thinking of this product, now that s a whole
new world. Very few designers have the privilege to say that they have achieved this, an
accomplishment that designers dream of. The companies Braun and Sony are two companies with
the same goal. Through their philosophies they have helped change the way people think about
products. The Sk4 record player (figure 1) produced in 1956 from Braun and the Sony Walkman
(figure 2) made in 1979 were two products that achieved this feat. They were two products that
were conceived in two very different ways, two products for very different markets, but two
products with the same ideas, wants and needs as each other. Both the Sk4 and Sony Walkman
have large focuses on space they were both designed with the user at the very forefront of the
designers minds. The Sk4 was designed with disregard for fashion, completely opposite to the
Walkmans design philosophy yet they have had similar effects on the world and Both Sony and
Braun have created similar products although they were made 22 years apart.
The Sk4 was designed by Dieter Rams In Frankfurt, Germany for the company Braun who had the

INTRODUCTION TO THE LEAN SYSTEMS The success of the Toyota Production System is the
evidence that Lean Systems help manufacturing companies in improving their operations and the
process of manufacturing. Lean is an approach to eliminate waste and maximize the value for the
customers. Lean has made its place in today s market. Apart from Toyota, companies like John
Deere one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery, Textron leading systems which
offers products and services to support the defense and the aerospace, Intel the world s largest chip
makers, Nike one of the leading super cool clothing company have occupied their place in the
success list of lean systems. HISTORY OF LEAN Before we understand the need lean we must
understand the need of the productions such as Craft Production and Mass Production. The craft
production was more about manufacturing the cars based on the specifications given by the
customers. The term craft production refers to a manufacturing technique applied in the hobbies of
handicraft but was also the common method of manufacture in the pre industrialized world. The
cars were modified according to the requirements of the customers which led to the limited number
of models specific for each customer and relatively the cost was high but the customer had the
satisfaction of dealing directly with the manufacturer. Craft production comprise of skilled
employees at design, machining and fitting, usage of the general purpose machines

Black Lives Matter Dbq
In the year 1765, a well acclaimed group arose when the British enforced the Stamp Act. The
Stamp Act was a law geared toward the American colonist to pay taxes on paper goods due to the
French and Indian War. There were some colonist who believed that there should be no taxation
without representation and they called themselves the Sons of Liberty. They believed themselves
as patriots fighting for their rights but I view them as terrorist. They are terrorist because they
condoned looting, vandalism, the tarring and feathering of people and most of all making
terroristic threats, which are all characteristics of a terrorist group. On the other hand, the protest
group Black Lives Matter which started from a social media post in 2012 due to an... Show more

BLM is different because they want a civil rights movement type of change that shakes up
politics and breaks the cycle of violence and silence (Sider, Simon, par. 8). Unlike the Sons of
Liberty, the Black Lives Matter movement does not condone violence especially on innocents.
Yes, as a group they had some mishaps with a few radicals, but they are learning from their
mistakes and are trying to weed out the people who will tarnish what the movement is about.
Not like the Sons of Liberty who condoned and outsourced violent criminals. The Black Lives
Matters movement tries to make change legally like having a sit in at a police station until the
officers released a shooting tape in a case of an officer killing a black male. Although violence
tried to arise due to tempers the group did not give in to mob mentality. They did not drag the
officers out of the department and tar them, nor did they vandalize the building. Since they did
things the peaceful way the case is now being looked into, and the officers who were involved in
the shooting are now on leave. The protest group is also delving more into politics, the group
wants the Black voice to be heard on a more intellectual

Essay On Navajo Culture
Navajo culture distinctively took hold in the four corners area of the Colorado Plateau around
100 A.D., although they are believed to have been around for centuries before then. Disliking
the term Navajo Indians , they refer to themselves as the DinГ© which means The People or
Children of the Holy People . The Navajos are traditionally a matriarchal society. Descent and
Inheritance were determined through the mother. In marital separation, woman kept the property
and children. If the mother died, the children were sent to live with their mother s family.
Navajo women were at the core of social and economic control. They were the potters and
weavers and owned the land and livestock, which was passed on to their daughters, who were
trained to manage them. The Navajo farmed squash, corn, and beans. Some other fruits and
vegetables in their diet were wild celery, wild onion, wolfberry, wax currant, juniper berry, and
yucca bananas. They raised sheep and goats for meat, wool, and milk. They also hunted animals
such as deer and prairie dogs. Occasionally, edible clay was added to food. This increased the

All living things were considered relatives, containing a spirit or inner form. Navajo people viewed
the earth as a mother, with a family of Holy People and livestock as well as human relatives. A
Navajo s relationship to the land where he or she was born began at birth, through the burial of
the umbilical cord. This ensured that the child would be nurtured by its spiritual mother for the
rest of it s life. Such ceremonial offerings continued as the child grew older. Because of these ties to
the land, every Navajo viewed their home site as sacred. If one was forced to move away from his
or her land, he or she would be denied access to sacred places. If a family were unable to perform
ceremonies in their homeland, they would be unable to protect their ancestors and would lose all

Is Global Warming Going To Be Very Harmful To The Earth
Is Global Warming going to be very harmful to the Earth in the future?
Outline
I. Window 1: Can global warming be stopped
A. Temperatures have ascended
1. Temperatures on earth have risen approximately 1.4В°F since the early 20th century (Global
Warming)
a. According to that study, the increasing of the atmospheric climateover time is a direct result of
human activities that cause significant and harmful climate changes including. Therefore in this
manner numerous countries confront that immediate international action has to be performed to

moreover, the fracture has developed faster this year in a region officially unprotected to warming
temperatures. (Patel)
a. The author is supporting the argument that if humans don t do something soon it would be too
late to prevent global warming to keep developing and getting worse. She s showing the impact that
global warming is having on one of the Antarctic ice shelves overtime and what is its aspect today.
II. Are humans responsible of global warming?
Some people think that global warming has been caused because of human activities.
The rise in atmospheric CO2 over the last century was clearly caused by human activity, as it
occurred at a rate much faster than natural climate changes could produce. Over the past 650,000
years, atmospheric CO2 levels did not rise above 300 ppm until the mid 20th century
(Climatechange.procon.org )
According to that atmospheric levels record, the rising of the atmospheric CO2 levels has been
caused by the human activities and if human activities didn t happen, the changes that natural
climate could produce would have happened way slower so that means less damage to the globe
since the changes would have occurred at a speed that the climate is designed to.
2. Of greater concern to scientists is how the collapse of ice

Everyone has a unique way in expressing themselves in ways that they depict truly define who
they are. Body Art written by Lynne Carroll, elaborates on the idea of tattoos and piercings
becoming a popular practice for people in the world and the different perspectives of body art
pertaining to individuals. Tattooing and body piercinghave become increasingly prevalent in
popular culture over the last 30 years (Carroll 1). Many different motivations for body art, as well as
the explanation of this idea of art are also mentioned in the text. I agree that each are reasonable

According to Sweetman (1999) and Soyland (1997), tattoos and piercings also permit one to

the desire to mark their bodies in a relatively permanent way (Carroll 3). For example, when a
person passes away, it is common for someone to receive the person s memorial implanted on their
body as a tattoo for remembrance. Commonly, people who receive tattoos feature images and
symbols that have a specific meaning to their life or history. Peer acceptance as describes in the
text is another sensible example of why people can engage in body art. The majority of young
people spend their days influenced by those of the same age or same interest daily. In order for
some young people to feel accepted , by those around them typically endures in activities that will
make them a part of the group they surrounds themselves with. If receiving any form a body art

Analysis Of Dope, Malcolm, And His Two Friends Jim
Stereotypes are a hard thing to shake when growing up in an underfunded suburb like Malcolm
Moore. In the movie Dope, Malcolm, and his two friends Jim and Diggy get themselves into a
dangerous adventure. Malcolm s primary goal throughout the story is that he gets into Harvard. The
main subject of this movie is perception. The writer Rick Famoyiwa gives prime examples of the
idea that what people perceive to be true and what is true is a constant conflict. In this film,
Famoyiwa brings to attention the difference between perception and reality. One of these
examples is when Malcolm is continuously sneaking his drugs into his high school, past drug
dogs and a beeping alarm system. After passing through the alarm system many times, the
officers assumed that the machine broke. Also, after passing the drug dogs, the police simply
ignored the situation due to whom the dogs were barking at. These two events show that how
people viewed Malcolm helped him succeed, he was seen as a band geek and a good kid and
because of this; there was no suspicion from the officers. Overall, because his peers saw him as
this good boy, he ended up getting away with quite a bit that someone who had a reputation or
viewed as differently would not have.
Next, Malcolm comes in a confrontation with a man who sells Designer bags while trying to get
money for the drugs he has sold online. During this, he must pass a test to get the money he needs
for Harvard. Malcolm must determine which bag is real

ThoughtВProvoker Michael Francis Moore is a controversial American filmmaker who has directed
numerous documentaries. These documentaries have taken a large spectrum of popular American
issues and reduced them to one: capitalism. His most popular cinematic works include Bowling for
Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Capitalism: A Love Story, and mostВnotably, SiCKo. With a liberal
stance, Moore has documented his own vision on America s large corporations, such as the Bush

During Moore s adventure, the United Dawli 10 States Coast Guard stops and questions Moore
and his crewmembers about their destination. Moore cleverly answers, We re not going to Cuba!
We re going to America! It s American soil (SiCKo). This voyage is humorous because Moore
plays upon the irony that in order for American citizens to receive free quality health care, they
must be taken the prison, which houses some of America s most dangerous criminals. Another
example in the film is when Moore discovers in a British hospital corridor a CASHIER window,
which he pretends to suppose is the hidden flaw in British free health services (Callenbach 18).
However, he soon learns that the Cashier is actually a place where the hospital pays its patients for
any costs they may have incurred throughout their stay, such as transportation costs to and from the
hospital. Moore compares the fact that people can actually get paid to go to the hospital in England,
to America where patients need to pay for their health care, and illustrates this point using humor
and sarcasm. As Chapman illustrates, Documentary is also recognized as being a very engaged sort
of cinema, which means that there are inevitably pressures and sometimes conflicting claims
(Chapman 8). In other words, although

Companies wanted to cram employees together and accommodate them in the cheapest way

impermanence, reflecting the dark side to cubicle design. 1990s: The Office Becomes Virtual
The LA ad agency TBWAChiatDay s headquarters was a flop. Featuring no personal desks, the

The Ethics Of Scientific Knowledge
Cortni Volkman
7/30/2015
Science surrounds just about every aspect of human interaction but where does this scientific
knowledge come from? The communication of scientific knowledge trickles in a fashion opposite
to that of the filtration of water through a carbon scrubber, where the highest concentration of pure
scientific knowledge exists within the prestigious community of scientists and scientific knowledge
within the academic and public communities has to be filtered from the other particles of ideas,
leaving much room for interpretation. This paper will explore these different interactions among
various communities and how it shapes communication of scientific knowledge. One such
community is that of the very scientists who do the research and publications which supply much
of the scientific knowledge we know today. However, research and publishing is heavily time
consuming and expensive so many scientist must seek out funding. Bias, or a conflict of interest,
can be argued to exist in all aspects of science depending on when and how results are obtained. It
is without discourse than to argue that all research, even that done at collegiate level, has some
amount of bias whether from the funding received, the council from professors or advisors, or the
availability of more advanced technology to obtain data (Krimsky 2012). Such bias from
technological means can even limit what scientists can publish. Often the military relies on
scientists for their expertise in

Oskar Schindler s Actions During the Holocaust Essay...
Oskar Schindler s Actions During the Holocaust
The Holocaust usually refers to Nazi Germany s systematic genocide of various peoples during
the Second World War, the main target of this designed massacre being the Jews. Approximately 6
million Jews became the victims of this fanatical racism, slaughter, and cruelty. However, in all this
madness, there were still a few people with sound conscience and courage to act against these
atrocities. The most famous of these heroes would be Oskar Schindler, the once opportunistic
businessman who, later, spent every last of his pennies to save his 1200 Schindler Jews. People
often deliberate on why Oskar Schindler did what he did. However, the issue of interest should not
be focused on why ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to keep his Jews out of the death camps, Schindler spent a sum of 4 million German
marks which was an enormous sum of money for those times. People ask why. They ask why
such a greedy opportunistic person changed his way of living and spent the whole of his life and
his money to save the Jews. When asked this question in person, Schindler replied as follows.
I hated the brutality, the sadism, and the insanity of Nazism. I just couldn t stand by and see
people destroyed. I did what I could, what I had to do, what my conscience told me I must do. That
s all there is to it. Really, nothing more.
Like he said, that was all there was to the reason for Schindler s actions. Schindler believed that the
Germans were doing wrong when they started killing innocent people, and, therefore, did what was
right, which was trying to save as many victims as possible.
Any person with a sound mind and a sound conscience would have realized what Schindler had
realized. However, during this period of intense cruelty, the vast majority of German citizens stood
by and watched as their Jewish neighbors were dragged from their homes, stripped of their
belongings, and killed. Two famous psychological experiments illustrate why no one else did what
Oskar Schindler did.
Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University, conducted a study focusing on the conflict
between obedience to authority and personal conscience. The experiment began in July 1961, a

  • 2. Value Analysis Of Boeing Boeing 787 Dreamliner Boeing is a global company that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes. It is amongst the largest aerospace companies that manufacturers commercial jetliners and is second largest defense contractor. Boeing is also a leader manufacturer in space and security systems. Boeing began in Seattle, WA in 1910 and now their headquarters are in Chicago, IL and is the largest exporter in the United States. The Boeing Company adopted the radical change approach because they were trying to accelerate development time and reduce overall costs. Boeing actively embraced outsourcing to their supply chain that involved over 40 suppliers in about 100 different locations around the world. According to Forbes Magazine, The approach was intended to reduce the 787 s development time from six to four years and development cost from $10 to $6 billion. In the 1990 s the company Airbus started stealing market share from Boeing. Boeing responded by innovating their products using value analysis. According to Professor Todd s chapter four slide 12, value analysis is the examination of the function of parts and materials to reduce the cost and/or improve the performance of a product. Boeing has traditionally used aluminum for their airplanes, but changed their 787 to carbon fiber, aluminum, and titanium. This allowed for increased humidity and maintained pressure within the cabin; which also would reduce maintenance and replacement costs (Denning, 2013). This makes the ... • 3. How Did Netflix Pursue Movie Studios Netflix could pursue movie studios if it can build up a higher number of customers who are watching their exclusive shows. The con to a movie studio is the fact that there will be various expenses which could result in removing part of their customers who enjoy the low 7.99 rate. Therefore Netflix would become something that it is trying to compete against which is the bigger cable providers. An avenue that Netflix is best suited for is creating original shows, and movies such as House of Cards. For Netflix to take the next step it has to create at least one more show that has a national audience such as the type of numbers that Breaking Bad, or Walking Dead has. This would pave the way for them to create more of a fan base, and allow them ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Thucydides Summary There is little doubt that Thucydides is regarded as one of the best historical writers for coming up with his book, presenting facts and truth about the war even though he was a general in the Athens army. By using a unique style of writing, the author was attempting a unique style which involved being aggressively rational and giving an impersonal analysis of the historyof his times being free from religious influence. The style used in writing the book is different because the author makes the war to be understood in respect to human politics and power struggles that were taking place between the two warring factions; Athens and Sparta. The style of writing is different from how Herodotus had explained the Greek war against the Persians, putting too much emphasis on the religious side of the war. Thucydides tries to be different by describing the human factors which made the Athens side to lose the war. He points that Athens was more concerned about expanding than winning the war and that most of its generals defected after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author advocated the theme of realism by illustrating how small cities such as Melian would have benefited had they joined the Athenians. He notes that the cities were destroyed because they were not realistic about their situation hence they would not have stood against the Athenians. Throughout the book, Thucydides shows the difference in his works by using economics and politics as the two main factors which used to determine wars at that time. Such a move was sin contrast with how historians used to portray wars at that time. Historians usually used gods and their influence to explain army victories but Thucydides explains that the cities with the most money and a centralized system of government used to win such wars. For instance, the author explains that Athens had many armies and was powerful in the sea, thus having an advantage over its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Essay on American Education in the 1800 s American Education in the 1800 s In the early 1800 s education in America grew and developed rapidly, largely because of the works of three very important men: Noah Webster, William McGuffey, and Horace Mann. These three men were catalysts for the growth of education throughout the nineteenth century, and without them the large strides America took during this time would not have occurred. These great men all shared one goal: to educate the youth of America as well as possible. This was no small task, however, because the educational system in place was disorganized and had several large problems that had to be overcome. The task of correcting the many problems that faced education in the early 1800 s required the genius of many men ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The book was such a success that it was used in classrooms for almost one hundred years (www.ctstateu.edu). Noah Webster s greatest accomplishment was writing the first truly American dictionary. The book took more than 27 years to complete, and among the nearly 70,000 words featured in it were truly American words, such as skunk and chowder (www.christianlaw.com). This book was the work of a lifetime for Webster, and his name is now nearly synonymous with any modern American dictionary. Another great contributor to the spread of American educational tools was William McGuffey, author of the widely spread series, Peerless Pioneer Readers. This series of writings was used in every state of the Union and had a very obvious effect on students in American schools (lib.muohio.edu). Along with creating such influential educational tools, McGuffey also taught at several prestigious institutions of higher learning, such as Ohio University and Miami University (www.hfmgv.org). With such a widespread influence caused by not only his educational series but his teaching across the Midwest, it s no surprise that McGuffey is considered one of the instigators of the rapid improvement of the educational system in America. The man with the greatest effect on the government s relationship with schools is Horace Mann. Often called the Father of American Education, Horace Mann wasn t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Comparing Satire In Saturday Night Live And The Late Show Political Satire: Both Amusing and Informative Political satire is the use of humor, sarcasm, or ridicule to criticize politician s vices. Most satire today is political. Comedians have become our truth tellers. When it comes to politics, news and satire go together like peanut butter and jelly. Shows including: NBC s Saturday Night Live and CBS s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert showcase political satire the best of them all. The main questions are: does satire relay new well and does satire make for a reliable news source? Stephen Colbert is known to be the king of satire. His late night show is popular for his use of satire to convey the news. He is so good at his satire that people on all sides of the political debate find him funny. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Humor is a big part of my life, and I find what is life without a good laugh. I have watched both Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I find them both very funny and I did learn some things from watching them. I find normal news to be lacking enjoyment. They are frankly boring. Satire requires a lot of interpretation. No one quite has the same opinions on what is trying to be conveyed by such satire. Some people think satire is rude and crosses the line. For others, it is easier to comprehend more serious political topics when humor is involved. Satire can be helpful to some in the transmission of information. I agree completely with this. Humor helps grab the attention of viewers and make the experience more enjoyable. I find it easier to watch the SNL skits mocking the debate over the real deal. Yes, they may be making fun of people, but I unapologetically find that funny. In my opinion there is a reason these people are victims of satire. Whether it is political or just plain old satire, comicality adds a lot to new segments. There is not one person who doesn t enjoy a good laugh. Satire allows people to both receive the news and laugh at the same time. It is like the best of both worlds. Comedians may have become our truth tellers, but I m not complaining. I like the way satire and news mesh ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. How Did Buddy Holly Influence Popular Music Even Though Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly are both singer/song writers, their journeys have taken them down completely different paths. One has had a long career in the industry and the other has unfortunately has had a short career. Both have had wonderful and successful lives and are still well known for what they accomplished with their music. Buddy Hollyplayed rock n roll for a few short year but the music he recorded in that time has made a major and forever lasting impact on popular music. Not only did he write his own music, but he was also the first to exploit advanced studio techniques such as double tracking, (rockhall.com). Bob Dylanon the other hand is a recognized poet laureate of the rock n roll era and the pre eminent singer/songwriter of modern times. No matter if he is singing topical folk songs, exploring rootsy rock and blues, or delivering one of his abstract, allegorical compositions, he is always demonstrating a rare ability to reach listeners with his lyrics, (rockhall.com). Buddy Holly was born on September 7th, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas. His birth name was Charles Hardin Holley, he is the youngest out of four children. He got the name Buddy from his mother, who felt his birth name was too big for a young boy. • 9. Essay On French Withdrawal From Indochina Writer Virginia Thompson quoted, If France had not been victorious in the (First) World War it is no exaggeration to say that she would never have been able to keep Indo China. It is also no exaggeration to say that France s disastrous defeats in the early part of World War II were to be a major factor in France s ultimate loss of its Indochinese colonies of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Various reasons account for the withdrawal of the French from Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia) by 1954. Since the start of the French Colonization of Indochina around 1893, tension was present in both parties which was only deepened by the series of occurrences and notions that followed. The result of WWII caused France to be significantly weakened, specifically the economy and the country as a whole. • 11. Iago Character Analysis William Shakespeare was born in 1564. Very little is known about his personal life but he is one of the most well known authors in history. One of his famous works is Othello. There are many key characters in the play but there is one that plays a major key role in what happens and that is Iago. He is a supposed to be Othellos best friend but as the play goes on, his true colors begin to show. No other character can even come close to his evil. Most of the characters in the play have a reason for what they do. Iagolies and manipulates the characters of the play because he is a very ruthless man. Shakespeare does a very good job in showing what kind of person Iago is right from the beginning of the play. The reader begins to realize this before any of the characters in the play do. I believe he did this so the reader will begin to see how evil Iago is yet how unjustified his reasoning is. Iago is the main reason there is conflict in Othello. I feel as if he had not entered the play Othello would have married Desdemona and they would have lived happily ever after. Right from the beginning of the play to the very end he causes conflicts. He is responsible for the deaths of Othello, Desdemona, Emilia, Cassio, and Roderigo. Which happen to all be the main characters. All the problems he causes are through lies, manipulation, and a deep unknown hate. Some of his hate is fueled by jealousy and revenge. The ironic part is that he wants to be known as honest Iago . Canada had declared war on the Axis Powers only a week after Great Britain and France had made their declarations. The war continued on, and Axis victory was being averted by sheer Allied bravery, even though Britain was near to collapse and France and the rest of Europe had long fallen. Allied victory seemed impossible, until the United States entered the war in December 1941. It was a turnaround and a triumph of American material and logistics superiority. Canadian involvement in the Second World War was largely self gratifying, in a way, as it began to develop a huge war industry of aircraft, military vehicles and cargo carriers production, most of which went to Britain, which kept its factories working, which spurred them to keep alive their interest in helping to win the war. The major contribution by the Canadians was the usage of the Corvettes that acted as escorts for supply ships on the way to Britain. Without these supplies, D Day would never have happened. These military skirmishes and actions kept the war alive, but did not initiate any significant results on their own; however they were a pivotal support force. America s late entry into the war was made up with its efficient and strategic fighting in battles, which ended the Second World War. Most of American military contributions in Europe were in collaboration with troops from other Allied nations, such as the Italian Campaign, D Day landings (under American General D. Eisenhower) and the Battle of the Bulge. • 15. The Theory Of Self Defense Self defense is described in the dictionary as; the act of defending one s person when physically attacked, as by countering blows or overcoming an assailant ( self defense, n.d.). The concept of self defense appears well defined; however, the tactics allowed to protect oneself have evolved just as America has. As technology and weaponry advance, the need for clearer laws pertaining to the actions allowed by an individualneed to be reevaluated and clearly communicated. Starting in early colonial times and moving through history, there is a great deal of differences between the self defense that was once permitted and what is acceptable and tolerated today. In early colonial times, Europeans began settling in America. During this time, there was a need for self defense from both the Native Americans who were already settled on the new land and from the European invaders who wanted to take it over. Self defense was originally termed the first law of nature, and citizens were allowed to use deadly force whenever they judged it necessary. This practice of self defense existed during a time where the individual was considered the ... judge, jury, and executioner (Cornell, 2013). However, a clever photographer named Henry Hamilton Bennett visited the Gulch during winter on ice skates and chiseled his way through. He partnered with a local steamboat captain to build walkways into the area that have been in use, and updated, since 1875. Walking onto the rock filled solid surface, I look up in amazement. • 20. How Advertising Affects The World Wide Web Essay I will now introduce an extension that individuals can install on their browsers to hide all of the banners and advertisements when they are navigating the World Wide Web. When an individual is navigating the web they will see advertisements that might catch their attention and the user might click on it, taking them to another site that might have malware or virus on them. This site may also install something on their computerwithout them noticing. This will also block those pop ups that show when you are navigating on a certain website and you won t have to worry about something showing up that you don t want to see. Another positive thing that Ad Blockers do is that they will block all of the advertisements from videos. Blocking advertisements will have the websites you are visiting look cleaner by removing all of the items that shouldn t be on there. The websites that you are visiting will also load quicker because it isn t reading the scripts of the advertisements. 2.6 Deepfreeze Working at two different locations I saw the benefits of having this computer software install on the computers in the labs. • 21. Roller Coaster Descriptive Essay It was a beautiful, sunny day in the middle of August. The sun was just rising as we prepared to embark on our journey to King s Island. My family of five packed into the car, full of excitement and giddiness. It was a two hour trip but we beamed the whole way. It was my sister and I s first time on a roller coaster! Previously, we had researched videos of every single coaster at the park. We were very prepared. My family gazed at the oncoming road, our path to happiness. Finally, we arrived in the parking lot, absolutely swarming with cars. Every one of us ran to the gate and gave the attendant our tickets. Free at last! The symbol for me was a rollercoaster which, to me, represents courage. At this point we were in the park and ready to explore. Before going on any roller coasters we got a park map and found the tallest coaster. The Diamondback. My family raced over and to my surprise, the line was incredibly short! So we got on The Diamondback and started going up the hill. It was the tallest rollercoaster in the park and you could see everything in King s Island. So after that we got off and walked to the coaster we ve all been waiting for. The Banshee, the one with loops, the one I ve never been on in my life. At first, I was too nervous to even get in line for The Banshee but my family pressured me until I went with them. This line was a little longer and it gave me too much time to think. The first of these lower needs is physiological needs, such as hunger and thirst. Next is safety needs, or desire to feel secure and free from harm. After comes love needs, which are also known as belongingness needs. These needs are met when one feels as though they have people who need them. Next, esteem needs are fulfilled when they are able to gain a satisfying image of themselves. Let s not forget the imaging of biological evidence (like hair, tissue, blood, teeth, etc.) before it gets further analyzed. 2 The packaging can then be done in antistatic packaging, like paper bags, envelopes, cardboard boxes, or antistatic containers for the fact that they reduce the production of humidity or static electricity. Since we are dealing with a small device we will use an envelope for packaging. Furthermore, the packaging should be done in a way that the item will not bend or be deformed. 3 The last step should be to label the package with my name, date of packaging, name of item followed by a small description (for instance, white and blue USB flash disk) and reference pertaining to the case ( for instance, MR Yourprop E0012) * I would ask the lab to look at possible damage or scratches on the device. In the movie Dope, Malcolm, and his two friends Jim and Diggy get themselves into a dangerous adventure. Malcolm s primary goal throughout the story is that he gets into Harvard. The main subject of this movie is perception. The writer Rick Famoyiwa gives prime examples of the idea that what people perceive to be true and what is true is a constant conflict. In this film, Famoyiwa brings to attention the difference between perception and reality. One of these examples is when Malcolm is continuously sneaking his drugs into his high school, past drug dogs and a beeping alarm system. After passing through the alarm system many times, the officers assumed that the machine broke. Also, after passing the drug dogs, the police simply ignored the situation due to whom the dogs were barking at. These two events show that how people viewed Malcolm helped him succeed, he was seen as a band geek and a good kid and because of this; there was no suspicion from the officers. Overall, because his peers saw him as this good boy, he ended up getting away with quite a bit that someone who had a reputation or viewed as differently would not have. Moore cleverly answers, We re not going to Cuba! We re going to America! It s American soil (SiCKo). This voyage is humorous because Moore plays upon the irony that in order for American citizens to receive free quality health care, they must be taken the prison, which houses some of America s most dangerous criminals. Another example in the film is when Moore discovers in a British hospital corridor a CASHIER window, which he pretends to suppose is the hidden flaw in British free health services (Callenbach 18). However, he soon learns that the Cashier is actually a place where the hospital pays its patients for any costs they may have incurred throughout their stay, such as transportation costs to and from the hospital. Moore compares the fact that people can actually get paid to go to the hospital in England, to America where patients need to pay for their health care, and illustrates this point using humor and sarcasm. As Chapman illustrates, Documentary is also recognized as being a very engaged sort of cinema, which means that there are inevitably pressures and sometimes conflicting claims (Chapman 8).
