Drupal Commerce is an open source eCommerce platform built on Drupal. It was created by Commerce Guys, a company with around 40 employees based in Paris and Michigan. Drupal Commerce aims to be the number one open source eCommerce solution and provides a flexible framework approach. It has seen increasing adoption since its 1.0 release in 2011 and powers over 13,000 sites, including the popular Commerce Kickstart distribution. The developers are focused on continued improvements like Commerce Kickstart 2 and Drupal Commerce 2.0.
