Opening and closing a case can be filled with minefields for law firms. Conflict checks, information gathering, file handoff and bill collections all can impose burdens on lawyers - taking them away from the valuable time actually servicing their clients' legal needs. If you hit a roadblock while on-boarding a new client, you can be setting your firm up for a future complaint. If you fail to close a file properly, your firm may be writing off legal fees that you've earned, and lose a client.
The entries and exits matter just as much in legal services as handling the case. Are you taking a 360 degree view when handling your cases?
In this Clio webinar, learn what you need to know about handling the bookends of intake and invoicing, including:
- Centralizing and documenting your conflict checks,
- Tools to help clients organize and share vital information with your firm,
- Best practices for ethically closing files, and
- Managing cash flows when invoicing clients
Speakers:
Joshua Lenon, Lawyer in Residence at Clio
David Tulkin, Senior Business Development Manager at Fundbox
Michael Chasin, Founder of Lexicata

Since ages, marking attendance has been one of the most important way to record and track the presence of students in schools, colleges. Attendance marking in different forms has been in use in various organizations to record the presence of their human resource. This helps the organization in generating their month-end payroll, and other activities. Such systems may be manual or automated. Biometric-based system, card-based system are some of the examples of automated attendance system.
In this project, an attempt has been made to record attendance through mobile devices. The aim of the project is to create an Android mobile application for attendance system that can be used by all teachers for their respective courses. This application fetches the details of the courses allotted to the respective faculty and the students enrolled in the courses from the server using the internet connection. This application takes the attendance in the mobile and can send as push notification to every parents. When the faculty is needed to upload the Homework, they can directly upload it from their mobile on the server.
This application uses Android application development toolkit. Android is a Linux-based operating system developed for smart phones or tablet computers. It is a stack of software that includes operating system, middleware and libraries and APIs written in C. The Android application is developed in Java-like language using the Android software development kit (SDK). The integrated development environment (IDE) which is officially supported for Android apps development and used in this project is Eclipse, which uses the Android Development tools (ADT) plug-in.

What Indian pharma needs to do to engage with Indian doctorsDr Aniruddha Malpani
The document discusses how pharmaceutical companies can better engage with doctors through digital marketing. It suggests that pharmaceutical companies create and maintain individual websites for each doctor to reach both doctors and patients online. This would allow pharmaceutical companies to provide doctors with valuable online real estate for referrals and reputation management while also helping patients learn about conditions and find trusted doctors. By meeting doctors and patients online through customized websites, pharmaceutical companies can improve their relationships and build trust in a more patient-centric way.

The document summarizes research on the impact of globalization on culture. It discusses how globalization has led to both positive and negative influences on cultural diversity. Positively, technology allows for cultural self-representation and preservation of identity. However, globalization can also encourage loss of individualism and increased Western influence. The summarized research was conducted among law students in Bangladesh and found that most use smartphones, social media, and the internet for both positive impacts like access to information, as well as some negative impacts like excessive social media use.
