GeoExt is a JavaScript toolkit that allows developers to create rich web mapping applications by wrapping OpenLayers mapping objects in ExtJS components. This provides a fully-featured user interface and allows applications to be built through configuration rather than extensive programming. GeoExt is useful for creating desktop-style web GIS applications that make heavy use of OGC services and is easiest for beginners unfamiliar with HTML and CSS.
