Lisa Hewitt has a background in cultural anthropology and is pursuing a degree in Museum Studies. She has experience volunteering with organizations focused on women's issues, the environment, and marine life. Her education has given her an interest in international issues, community outreach, and understanding different cultures. She hopes to apply her skills and interests to a career in the museum field.
The document outlines a social media campaign created for a central London college to boost website traffic, position itself as forward-thinking, and raise enrollment. The campaign examined students' and parents' online behaviors to understand how to appeal to both. It built social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs where students shared stories and experiences. Within a month, web traffic increased significantly and open days and enrollment filled up as the college engaged its community online.
The customer wanted to promote their eco-friendly ideas and content online but lacked knowledge of social media. The assistant set up social media accounts for the customer on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. They engaged with relevant communities, shared optimized content and videos, and positioned the customer as an eco opinion leader. As a result, the customer's website traffic doubled, time on site increased, daily engagement grew, and they are now seen as an expert in sustainability.
Narayan Shrestha [Radar based rainfall estimation for river catchment modelling]Narayan Shrestha
This document is the master's dissertation of Shrestha Narayan Kumar submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Master of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. The dissertation focuses on radar-based rainfall estimation for river catchment modeling. It acknowledges the contributions of the promoter, advisor, collaborators and scholarship providers. It contains tables of contents, figures, tables, and lists of acronyms and references. The dissertation will compare radar rainfall estimates from two weather radars to raingauge measurements, develop merged radar-raingauge rainfall datasets, and use the datasets to model flows in a river catchment using hydrological models.

The first author of the paper is Mr. Shakti PC who is currently in Japan. This paper is published in Journal of Hydrology and Meteorology Nepal (Vol. 7, No. 1) on December 2010.
This document discusses the Open Modelling Interface and Environment (OpenMI), which provides a standard for linking hydrological models and exchanging data between them. OpenMI allows models running on different time steps or scales to be integrated. It uses a request-reply mechanism to pass data between models at runtime. Existing models can be migrated to the OpenMI standard by wrapping their engine code. The key benefits of OpenMI are that it facilitates integrated modelling and leverages existing models, while its main drawback is the work required to migrate models to the standard.
Narayan Shrestha [Calibration and Validation of SWAT Model for Low Lying Wate...Narayan Shrestha
This document describes a study that calibrated and validated the SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) hydrological model for the 581 km2 Kliene Nete watershed in Belgium. The researchers calibrated seven SWAT parameters for 1994-1998 and validated the calibrated parameters for 1999-2002. Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency values of 74% for calibration and 67% for validation indicated the SWAT model reasonably simulated flows in this low-lying watershed with a shallow groundwater table. The most sensitive parameter was found to be channel effective hydraulic conductivity.
Sediment model for GESZ (Good Ecological Status in River Zenne)Narayan Shrestha
The document describes a sediment transport model developed for the river Zenne to evaluate ecological status. The model simulates the transport, deposition and resuspension of suspended solids. It uses equations from Shields and Soulsby and Whitehouse to calculate critical shear stress and particle motion. The sediment module is implemented as an OpenMI component providing outputs of total suspended solids, critical diameter and bed mass. Experiments were run on a 20 km section of the Zenne using different specific gravities showing varying levels of sedimentation.
Narayan Shrestha [ACCURACY OF X-BAND LOCAL AREA WEATHER RADAR (LAWR) OF LEUVE...Narayan Shrestha
This document summarizes the accuracy of rainfall estimates from an X-band Local Area Weather Radar (LAWR) installed in Leuven, Belgium and its application for hydrological modelling of the 48.17 km2 Molenbeek/Parkbeek catchment. Different adjustment techniques including range dependent adjustment, mean field bias adjustment, and Brandes spatial adjustment were applied to raw radar data, improving the mean absolute error by 47% and root mean square error by 45% compared to original radar estimates. Two rainfall-runoff models, VHM and NAM, were used to simulate streamflow in the catchment, showing similar performance and greater accuracy simulating more uniform winter storms than summer storms.

The poem describes growing up as a black girl who faced prejudice but was raised by a hard-working mother. Despite facing challenges, the speaker has maintained an open and strong heart due to hereditary traits passed down from her mother, Mildred Lawson. No matter what obstacles she faces, the speaker will only grow stronger and overcome any lies or hardships through the power inherited from her mother and God.
