Developing Environmental Behaviour through Cultural Interaction
What is the Project? Pupils will: Investigate environmental behaviour in their own school and locality Compare behaviour in the different countries Identify examples of best practice that can be transferred Attempt to address problems together that can lead to better practice
Who is involved? UK – Project Co-ordination Czech Republic – E-journal management Spain – Website management Italy – Website e-conferencing Turkey – Project evaluation Romania – Links with CONNECT programme and statistical analysis
Vision To develop awareness and understanding among the students in the partner schools about environmental problems and the effects of human behaviour. To make students conscious of local and global environmental challenges and to develop intercultural empathy
Concrete Objectives Website Blog School environmental self-evaluation tool Tool kit for peer education Conference e-journal Improved school policy Improved environmental behaviour
Meetings Initial Meeting of School Co-ordinators with 3 students each to discuss school self evaluation 2 Progress Meetings through the project to assess developments in environmental behaviour Final Conference with 10 students from each school
