Photocatalytic materials are effective against nitrogen oxide, carbon oxide, sulphur oxide, formaldehyde, aldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, cigarette smoke, pathogenic agents (viruses and bacteria), etc. Our technology suggests using self-organizing nanoporous anodic films with high specific area as new photocatalytic materials. Using not only titanium, but also Ti-Al alloys is very promising in development of coatings with exceptionally good photocatalytic properties. The technology is protected by two patents of Russian Federation on formation of nanoporous coating on Ti-Al powder alloys.
